I would totally do more mountain biking if it was per Meta headset. As a matter of fact, I might even obtain a Meta headset if it had stuff like on this on it. I mean, for training purposes of course.

It's funny how I don't hear anyone crying about how AI is going to replace search engines in a couple of years - if that long - it's almost like they don't care what AI "destroys" unless it's happening to them or their marketplace.

I mean, all of these things - except, maybe the hunger blindness - are real things, in my experience. But it may be beneficial to keep a granola bar or something in the glove box just in case :)

This comic is somewhat autobiographical. My doctor did say, flippantly, that I'm not gonna live to be 60. At the time I was 45. Little did he know I took that as a challenge and doubled down on my unhealthy behavior to prove I will live to 60 MY way, even if it kills me, dammit!

I remember people saying the internet was just a fad in the late 90s. Imagine if they’d been successful in shutting it down. Imagine all the progress and freedom we would have lost. Those are the same things we are on the cusp of with AI today.

Everybody is applauding the Elon Musk flying car when all I want is for people on the road today to learn how to drive their damn NORMAL car.

Managing creatives is tricky. Motivating each one takes a different tactic and often gets mixed results. Unfortunately, you can't just let creatives find their groove and get to work and expect results. They need structure, support and a swift kick in the ass some times :)

Having been on both sides of these workplace roles, I can assure you, neither side knows what the other side's job is.

Well, I've spent the last 5 or 6 hours making moves to get off of Godaddy hosting. My first website to migrate over from them to new free hosting is curbacon.com and curbacon.com if you'd like, hit the links and let me know if it works for you. Thanks guys.

Well said and something I've been struggling to put the words to for a while now.
One of the strangest things about the internet is how easily we confuse visibility with credibility. Someone gets a million followers, and suddenly people want their opinions on politics, medicine, business, parenting, and everything else. Why? Being good at attracting attention doesn’t automatically make someone knowledgeable. Yet we’ve built a culture where the size of your audience often matters more than the quality of your thinking. Maybe the problem isn’t that influencers have too much influence. It’s that we’ve become too willing to outsource our judgment to popular people.

That's no shit, sister! A new Gen Z term I LOATH hearing when I'm presenting any concept to a client is, "I don't love it." You don't love it? You're not supposed to love it - hell, I don't LOVE it - but does it work for the damn brief? If it does then approve it and move on!

Two reasons this sucks: Steve Jobs is dead. Like it or not, he was Apple. Second, everyone running Apple are old so they think people want products like this when they actually want products Steve was dreaming up. Apple is the new Microsoft.
Why aren't they using a black gay couple to sell product? This commercial is the kind of oppression every worker at Apple would call toxic.

Nothing get's people to listen and watch more than an incoherent rant or rambling about absolutely nothing at all and everything at once, especially if it encompasses polities or AI or, the holy grail, both.

Fun game. Controls are a little, Meh, but I had a good time playing nonetheless. One more thing AI is gonna be put to use on.

Here’s something I find fascinating about AI. For years, we told people to follow their dreams. Want to make a film? Learn filmmaking. Want to build an app? Learn to code. Want to make music? Learn an instrument. Today technology is removing some of those barriers, and now people are being told they haven’t earned the right to create. Maybe they were more comfortable encouraging people to follow their dreams when they knew most of them couldn’t afford to pursue them.

My dad, who worked in a corporate bakery, once told me when I was waxing poetically about how I made something, "nobody cares how it was done as long as it looks good and is entertaining." Nobody cares about your politics or philosophy. Normal people just want something fun.
It's all about story, not the identity of the people that made it, not the method or number of hours it took, not the pursuit of attention, fame and money. Law of identity. A is A. The story is the story. When we get back to that audiences will be fed again.

Now that so many artists are able to become their own brands, we're seeing a stronger convergence of what it takes to make the art and what it takes to fund it. So we're seeing these types of conversations more. I agree, though, art for art sake is good too.
But why make a stop motion film that is indistinguishable from a CGI film?

My delusions of getting a million viewers - or readers - is strong in this comic. The fact that something I would haphazardly fall into goes viral is just straight up denial of reality :)
