๐จBREAKING. The WBC has confirmed that it will take no action against Lawrence Okolie falling his postive PED test on 8th April 2026
The WBC stated that "Mr. Okolie fully cooperated with the WBCโs review and provided extenuating evidence supporting his position that the prohibited substance entered his system as a result of the actions of a third party, without his knowledge or consent. The WBC considered that mitigating evidence, together with Mr. Okolieโs unblemished testing history and cooperation throughout the process when reaching the agreed resolution."

According to an investigation by Simon Briggs of The Telegraph and Edmund Willison, English football invests just 0.04% of its revenue in catching drug cheats.
The figures don't prove that football has a widespread doping problem. The FA has maintained that doping in English football is rare. But that raises an obvious question: how confident can we be about the scale of a problem if relatively little money is dedicated to finding it?
Cycling has spent years living with the consequences of its doping scandals. Football has largely avoided the same reputational reckoning. Is that because the problem is smaller โ or because the scrutiny is different?
When the stakes are this high, integrity shouldn't be an afterthought.
