Years later, Zuckerberg went from a phone call to a deal with Wang's company, Scale AI, in just 11 weeks.
Wang, who now leads AI at Meta $META, says longtime Meta executive Alex Schultz introduced them around 2021 or 2022. Zuckerberg's calendar was so packed that the first meeting took about a year to set up. Wang says that's because he's "very good at prioritization."
After that, Wang would message him on WhatsApp for founder advice and get long, detailed answers back, fast.
Then came the call. It was right after Llama 4, which Wang says was "internally speaking, a disappointment," and Zuckerberg just wanted to know what Wang thought Meta should be doing.
Wang says he didn't see a deal coming. It only became clear "when we started talking numbers."

Alpha โ for my hardcore $ORDI ordinals followers.
ordi.network/ testnet is now live.
The first ever and ONLY permissionless settlement system, 100% native to Bitcoin. With a
multi-sequencing system, anyone can permissionlessly run a sequencer and anyone can permissionlessly
settle the epoch.
The contract is the validator. If sequencing is wrong by even 1 wei, the sequencer's whole stake is
slashed (32 ORDI).
We're now opening testing to a small group.
The testnet runs until two objectives are met:
1. Permissionless Governance stimulus check with community
2. Raise the system from today's ~150k transactions a day to its full capability โ millions a day,
every one settled on Bitcoin and fully derivable from the settlement blob.
We currently settle 100k transactions a day at 2 TPS. During this test period we're going to 2.5
million a day on Bitcoin, using under 25 MB.
