Indonesia says foreign offers to help fight forest fires, including Malaysia’s, will only be considered if the situation is declared a national disaster.
The government remains confident it can manage the crisis with its own resources, citing technical challenges involving fuel distribution and logistics.
This comes after Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry said last week that President Prabowo Subianto had approved assistance offers from neighbouring countries, including Singapore.
