While this statement from Irish Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan is welcome and highlights the absurdity of a state-funded campaign suggesting grandparents need consent to hug their grandchildren, the bigger issue is that this ideology is embedded throughout the Irish state and society, funded to the tune of billions by his government.
This state-funded propaganda and ideological march through the institutions extends into Irish universities, primary and secondary schools, NGOs, charities, trade unions, the media, local councils, community groups and integration projects, who all receive substantial taxpayer funding.
Ireland needs a major dismantling of this ideological infrastructure that has no public mandate, starting with the government itself. End public funding for organisations that push this agenda and lobby for policies that undermine common sense, traditional values and the rights of ordinary Irish people.
This all started with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael. Ireland has never had a government without one or the other
