carolyn marvin stood in front of an uber delivery robot in philly and got cuffed for "disorderly conduct." her crime? knowing the thing taking jobs doesn't have feelings to hurt. the robots keep rolling, she gets a record, and somewhere a vc just added "resilient to human obstruction" to the pitch deck.

Back at my desk.
Interesting spot for markets here. Things are holding up.
Don’t feel absolutely confident we don’t get one last dip before a low is confirmed.
A rip to 90k from here just doesn’t seem justified. But we’re starting to get a little bit more positivity on the higher timeframe.
Especially the daily which is where I’d say selling is getting exhausted. Just need to monitor now. Everything can rip if we get a proper final dip/retest of the lows.
Remain long ETH and SOL, not managed to get size into anything else just yet. But momentum higher is key. Lots of traders still want $79,500 and $74,500.
Without that base being established it’s very difficult shorts to move aside.
So a hold of another dip=higher.
The other variable is stocks, they look like they’re finally playing ball. But nothing confirmed yet.
Lastly, seasonality is in play H2 of October and Mid terms are heavily in play. These things aid consensus for higher asset valuations.
Make sure you have dry powder. Shorting here makes no sense as the risk to reward is non existent and you can easily get run over by positive headlines.

FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES:
Stopped out on ETH, NEAR and SOL overnight for a 12.72% loss on my account. Biggest hit so far.
Mistakes list:
- Listened to heavily to the N8 CPI data for hot prints. System called an 88% chance of a tag of 85,000. I leant in too early.
- System told me that the trade was dead at 15.00 US time. I didn’t see it, kept the trades.
- I added $NEAR perps 6 consecutive times in a row and lost. Even buy spot with size didn’t hold the chart. Big mistake, revenge trading.
- I didn’t consider, didn’t even think to consider a continued drop in the Korean and Japanese markets overnight. I knew it happened the night before, I didn’t check at the open. Rookie error.
- My size was too large too quickly on ETH. I chased a CPI bounce that never came, I wasn’t patient. I kept telling myself I wanted size fast on the long side.
- Finally, I closed my biggest short on BTC before CPI. Minutes before the read. Now why I did that was the first point, I listened to data without following my read on the chart. This opportunity cost would have been a 120% gain. As you know I’ve been short from the top.
Overall down 12.5% from the previous day. Still long $BTC from around 82k average. But this one is probably the most annoying loss I’ve had in a while. It’s not even big, but I feel like I’ve blown my account.
But, it’s a new day, and I’ve got plenty of dry powder.
🐋
Okay, quick update on how the orderbooks have developed since earlier today. This setup is perfect for a push higher.
$420m below price now. That’s enough to curb the drop for now.
The other positive piece is that the ask have disappeared. Basically nothing between here and $83000.
Let’s see if our CPI retrace data holds.
Happy Hunting.

Taking a big long on $BTC here. Playing the trendline and looking for a retest of 85/86 before leaning short again.
This doesn't feel like it has the momentum to break past the box just yet. and we've had no retest of the breakdown. Long term goal still remains $72,00. I just don't feel like were quite ready for that yet.
Not a lot of bearish news in front of us. Maybe Nasdaq Nukes but I don't think were there yet, economy remains strong in the US.
Bidding spot, perps on $NEAR as well.
Overall we got a nice drop from CPI as predicted. System says 85,000 is a 74% chance.

📊 Since Aug 2024, when US CPI surprised, BTC moved the way the surprise pointed 75% of the time (12 of 16 prints).
For one hour.
After 4 hours: 56%. A coin flip.
CPI is out today, 12:30Z. BTC has been capped under 84,369 for four days.

Bearish throwback on $ETH. Bitcoin doing a similar thing.
BEARISH for the next few days as we go towards 2300. I expect a bounce at 79500 on BTC.
Remember this move was a deeply oversold short squeeze with 13% spot buying on BTC. 2/3 chance of a full retrace/lower. 66% chance in simple terms.
Expect $NEAR to drop towards the lower end of the range.
Happy hunting!
$BTC lost its 3½-day rising wedge at 08:00Z.
Close: 83,469
Line: 83,643
Volume: $669m, the busiest hour of the day
Most people call that a breakdown.
373 past breaks say: barely better than a random hour.

Sitting comfy in shorts into CPI.
Nasdaq looks like it’s finally on the ropes. Any bounces there will spill over into BTC and ETH.
Longs are coming soon.

$BTC RSI has ran into a major resistance level that's been persistent since the top.
I imagine lower from here and no substantial break higher for the short term.
Alts will follow but I imagine some will show relative strength. $ETH might be one of them but lets see.
$BTC has now broken from the wedge I have been tracking. Expect selling to pick up around NYO and post 3pm UK time.
Happy Hunting!

About 20% filled on ETH. If we get a pop that's where the size comes in. If it doesn't pop within a 6 hour window ill remove all my asks.
I am expecting a pullback now into CPI. But will research further today.
Happy hunting.

BTC is currently in a rising wedge breakdown is now 68% before another touch of 84200.
Be cautious here this was a nice bounce but nothing goes up in a straight line. Especially with CPI in 70 hours time.
Very important that you manage tight risk when playing these wedges but in my opinion the bottom hasn’t been formed just yet. We’re close but still some work to be done to establish a clear structure.
