First, of course, if you are a PM (or designer/engineer/etc working on a cross-functional product team) looking to communicate more effectively and better manage your stakeholders, come join my next @MavenHQ cohort in February! maven.com/christinakweiss/co…

Frameworks are a great tool, but that doesn't mean you must always simply accept them as unquestionable fact: "The most successful teams mix and match many frameworks and models—and invent many frameworks and models—to do great work" - @johncutlefish cutlefish.substack.com/p/tbm…

It's almost 2023 🤯 If you're an early-stage (0-5 years of experience) PM who has extra cash you need to spend before the end of the year as part of your educational stipend... I'd love to support your career development by working with you 1:1 as your product career coach:

Fun fact: Many companies have L&D stipends for employees to invest in courses, books, conferences, etc. Almost 50% of @MavenHQ students get their courses reimbursed. But these budgets usually expire on Dec 31. Here's how to get reimbursed (and what to say to your manager):

it is very important to me that more people know that david hasselhoff is hugely popular in austria & germany, for knight rider + for SINGING. he still performs here & everyone knows his songs. it is wild. i swear when i moved to vienna this was the biggest culture shock of all!

i just saw another poster for his upcoming concert so i had to take this break from my regular product programming to share my ongoing incredulity at this incredible situation.

One of the fastest ways to onboard as a PM: read customer support tickets and shadow sales calls.

It's that time of year: the scramble to make (good) use of your L&D/education budget before it's too late! If you're in #prodmgmt, eng, UX, mktg: here are a few courses & books I recommend, from @molly_hellmuth @gibsonbiddle @manualwise @KarlLHughes @MengTo @cagan @LisaZane15

So, if you are looking to spend your L&D budget, or you're just interested in taking an awesome course or reading a great book, take a look at any and all of the above and you can't go wrong 🚀 What other resources would recommend to those in tech as the year winds down?

As a PM, it's really easy for stakeholder communication to become an afterthought – something that you do after your "real" work is done. But it's so key! Get in the habit of keeping stakeholders in the loop early & often, and you'll make your own job (+ theirs) so much easier.

I got a sneak peek of @LisaZane15's Stitch and it is the MOST unbelievably extensive, well-organized, incredible resource you can possibly imagine. Take a look and tell all your product friends!
There has never been more product content circulating on the internet as there is now! But how the hell can we make sense of it all? I'd like to introduce... Stitch: Resources for Product Managers: bit.ly/3i6GzYa

My first rule about performance reviews? ABSOLUTELY NO SURPRISES. If you're "saving up" feedback to go over during a performance review -- don't. Performance reviews are stressful enough. No one needs to hear performance feedback for the the first time during that meeting.
