Hopefully it gets fixed before the candidates start talking. It's not really possible to understand

First tweet in a while. Where's the protest. I'm not ready for the Premier to have this much power.

Instead of taking away workers' right to strike... How about we apply hefty fines to employers who can't keep the ports open.

If keeping the ports open is critical to the Canadian economy, maybe we should place the burden on the companies to keep operating rather than the workers.

On power and politics, DS says you can't predict the future, and then in the same breath predicts the future

We’ve been through this before. We’ll prevail again by showing up and speaking out against those in power who have sewed division and been silent while this crisis was allowed to fester. All the hate in the world won’t change the fact that we exist, always have, and always will.
Recent spike in hate incidents targeting 2SLGBTQ+ communities prompts RCMP to encourage all Albertans to report any hate related incidents to police. rcmp-grc.ca/128697

Janis and any other LGBTQ+ person over 30, or anyone who has done a lit review on trans youth in schools could have told the UCP that bill 8 was a dumb idea and a death sentence for vulnerable teens. In fact, some of us did. But they did eagerly dance in a fountain to celebrate.
Four years ago today. Wish I could say that things have gotten better for queer and trans kids across this province and around the world.

I remember when I started teaching in 2013 how shocked and appalled everyone was when high school classes crept over 40 students. It was on the news and there was public outcry. Nowadays it’s common practice and the UCP solution was to discontinue public reporting on class size.
We need more teachers in K-12 classrooms before school resumes in September. Like this post if you agree.

#yyccc unanimously approves billionaire subsidy, but won't take steps to stop our housing crisis. This council is broken.
I have no words for this awful outcome. Citizen research shows that the number one service Calgarians ask us to invest more in is affordable housing. I'm holding back tears at the failure of #yyccc to ignore best recommendations to make life more affordable for all Calgarians.

So, controversial opinion - Premiers have always gotten advice from many different places and hire people to consult/advise that aren't elected. This isn't new, and people are making a mountain out of a mole hill. There are like a 1000 better reasons to dislike Smith.

One more day until I can feel good about my government again.
Apologies to all my non Albertan twitter peeps. I'm really unhappy with my government and I'll probably be tweeting about them until they're either kicked out of power or I leave my province.
