🚨 BREAKING: California State Rep Carl DeMaio @carldemaio just called in the FEDS on Gavin Newsom.
DeMaio has formally asked the Trump DOJ to open a criminal investigation into Newsom over a massive scandal involving $3 billion in taxpayer losses.
According to DeMaio:
“California Democrats forced CalPERS into a bogus Green New Deal investment fund and blew through billions of taxpayer dollars. The fund collapsed, they refuse to answer questions, and someone needs to be held accountable.”
Here’s the brutal math:
• CalPERS put $468 million into the fund
• By March 2025, it was worth just $138 million
• A 71% wipeout — hundreds of millions gone
• If that same money had simply been put in an S&P 500 index fund, it would be worth around $3 billion today
DeMaio says this isn’t just mismanagement — it’s a violation of fiduciary duty, and he wants the DOJ to treat it as such.
Newsom may finally have to answer for the mess he created.
