This publication format, with both inline code and commentary from authors and readers is so awesome and needed to be adopted yesterday

Today, we’re thrilled to announce a partnership between @AsteraInstitute and @NSF on the Programmable Cloud Laboratories Test Bed Initiative. The initiative will enable automated experimentation, standardized data generation, and rich metadata capture. We see it as a great opportunity to produce scientific data that is reproducible and AI-ready from the start. This is a natural fit given Astera's long-standing commitment to data-first and utility-focused open science.
We’re excited to contribute funding and support to help compound the public benefit of this major federal investment!

Our recent essay competition surfaced a theme: a lot of useful science (null results, abandoned directions, datasets, protocols) is never shared.
Why wait? Our Hidden Science Competition is awarding life sciences grad researchers $10K to publish it. More below 👇
