#StopGBV: Only through stronger collective commitment, coordinated action, and mobilization of all will we truly shift mindsets and end all forms of violence against women and girls. #SGD5 #LNOB
🚨 #GenderBasedViolence continues to threaten the safety, health, and future of women and girls across Cameroon🇨🇲 Our RR, @Ciowela, accompanied by our DRR, @MhartHansen, UNV Coord. @RBersha, and the gender team, visited the #AFIRICentre and its permanent site in Yaoundé, led by Ms @YvonneBelema, to learn about the Centre’s activities and identify opportunities to strengthen survivor-centred support. #GenderEquality being one of the accelerators of the @UNDP Strategic Plan, the mission reaffirmed the Organization’s commitment to working with CSOs and development partners to expand access to care, strengthen pathways to recovery, and help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity. #EndGBV #StopFemicide #GBV #LNOB #SDG5

#PPRD-NW/SW: Women are not just part of the recovery, they are building it. Across the #NW/SWRegions of 🇨🇲, women are rolling up their sleeves and working alongside men to rebuild schools, health centres, water systems and other essential infrastructure under the #PPRD-NW/SW. They are breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes and proving that rebuilding communities is a shared responsibility. Every structure completed reflects their skill, dedication and resilience. Their work is doing more than restoring infrastructure, it is creating stronger, more inclusive and more resilient communities, where women are recognized not just as beneficiaries, but as builders, leaders and drivers of recovery.

Discipline,

18+ schools rebuilt/rehabilitated. Thousands of kids back in class. That’s what UNDP’s partnership with the Bamenda Archdiocese under the #PPRD-NW/SW looks like on the ground. Our RR @Ciowela met with Archbishop Andrew Fuanya Nkea & Bishop John Berinyuy Tata in Bamenda to review @UNDP’s partnership with the Archdiocese of #Bamenda under #PPRD-NW/SW. We also explored how UNDP 🇨🇲’s new #CountryProgramme can deepen this collaboration for #ResilientDevelopment.
