Home from @fragadelphia University. Great event, shoutout the organizers. For us at @Third_Site, despite a poor result, I’m proud of us for pushing teams the distance in our first non-BYOC, with a 13-9 vs. @dendelecs standing out. Confidence is up, but still lots of work left.
Fell in love with programming after my grade 8 tech teacher showed me Scratch when I told him I wanted to make video games. Two degrees and several SWE jobs later, I still credit Scratch as a key driver towards my career. Not sure if I’d count this as a “success story”, but still

American bands are always disproportionately highly rated because American music press controls the indie music zeitgeist and Americans disproportionately generally prefer American rock music despite the fact that it is fucking shit compared to the rock of any other continent.
Comms are going crazy with 3 Jacobs on the team…

I’m convinced that a large % of programmers don’t actually like computers.
As a side effect, are also perfectly happy to throw away their reasoning to a model as soon as they can.
I don’t get it, at ALL. Don’t you *LIKE* understanding the magic of the machine?
You do realize hand-programming (I hate that I even have to specify hand now) is fun…right?
