The boxes you see behind me represent the finish line of a project that Jessica and I started nearly a year ago.
Without question, this has been the biggest, most complicated, and at times most frustrating 3D printing project we've ever taken on.
Dozens of design changes, dozens upon dozens of prototypes, countless headaches, and more than a few moments of questioning what the hell we got ourselves into.
All of that led to 30 straight days of printing, 24 hours a day, with our machines running practically nonstop.
There were plenty of sleepless nights, including more than a few times when one of us had to get out of bed in the middle of the night to restart a printer because somebody forgot to do something. And yes, there were a few arguments along the way. 😂
But we pushed through, and now we're finally looking at the finish line.
Hopefully, in about a month, you'll start seeing these unique cigar boxes showing up on retailer shelves. And when you do, just know that Jessica and I had our hands on every single one of them. We printed them, assembled them, and dealt with every headache that came with bringing them to life.
The funny thing is, most people will never know we had anything to do with these boxes. They'll see them, admire them, and give the cigar brand owner all the credit.
And you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that.
We were hired to bring someone's vision to life, not to have our names attached to it. Sometimes the satisfaction comes from knowing what you accomplished, even if nobody else knows the story behind it.
But we'll know. And that's good enough for me.
So tonight, as I sit here looking at the culmination of a year's worth of work, I'm going to light up this @EspanolaCigar 30th Anniversario, enjoy a little peace and quiet, and appreciate what we managed to pull off.
Because tomorrow, I'm sure we'll find another ridiculous project to get ourselves into. 😂

Thank you @Cigar_Coop for turning me on to the Hot Bobbie from @capriottis
THIS is now the standard when it comes to Thanksgiving-style sandwiches!
Well, color me surprised! Somehow, someway, I managed to pass my ASE test in Manual Transmissions and Drivetrains. For the life of me, I have absolutely no idea how. 😂 But a pass is a pass, and I'm sure as hell not complaining!
Since I was already in the area, I figured I'd celebrate by swinging by @CoronaCigarCo Sarasota and enjoying an @FloridaSunGrown Farm Rolled.
Here's the thing about FSG tobacco. It's incredibly polarizing. Some people absolutely hate it, some people think it's just okay, and then there are people like me who can't get enough of it.
And if you're in that last category, you owe it to yourself to try an FSG Farm Rolled.
Why? Because it's 100% Florida Sun Grown tobacco. Wrapper, binder, and filler. Nothing else.
That unmistakable FSG "twang" that people either love or hate? It's there in all its glory. Front and center, from the first puff to the last, and everywhere in between.
This cigar is unapologetically FSG, and that's exactly why I love it. – at Sarasota, FL
Tomorrow, I get to do one of my least favorite things in the world: take my ASE recertification test for Manual Drivetrain and Axles.
I've had this test scheduled for a month, which means I've had an entire month to study. Have I studied? Of course not.
Between trying to wrap up a couple of massive 3D printing jobs and everything else going on, studying hasn't exactly been at the top of my priority list.
Plus, I absolutely HATE this test.
It took me about a dozen attempts to finally pass it the first time, and I've since failed the recertification twice. If my company didn't pay us a bonus for passing these things, I wouldn't bother taking any of them.
Here's the problem. I don't rebuild transmissions. I don't replace clutches. Manual drivetrains just aren't something I deal with regularly. Hell, I might see one manual transmission vehicle come through the shop in an entire month.
Even the other lead tech I work with might only see a repair order involving a manual transmission diagnosis a couple of times a year.
It's hard to stay proficient at something you almost never do.
The one advantage I have is that every time I fail this damn test, I go back through my study book and highlight the things I remember struggling with. So, at this point, my book is starting to look like a highlighter exploded all over it.
Maybe all those failed attempts will finally pay off tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
And if I fail again? Well, I'm not exactly going to lose any sleep over it. 😂
Now, on to something considerably more enjoyable. Tonight's cigar.
I was really craving a Perla Del Mar Corojo from @JCNewmanCigars , which happens to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, it's also Jessica's absolute favorite cigar.
So naturally, I had to sneak past her office and raid her humidor.
Mission accomplished. Cigar acquired.
There's just one tiny problem.
I took her last one. 😬
Now I've got to figure out how to replace it before she notices. And considering she goes through multiple boxes of these things every year, there's a pretty good chance she's going to notice sooner rather than later.
So tomorrow, I've got two challenges ahead of me.
Pass my ASE recertification test.
And somehow survive Jessica discovering that I smoked her last Perla Del Mar Corojo.
I'm honestly not sure which one I'm more worried about. 😂💨 – at Warm Mineral Springs, FL

Just sitting here enjoying a Circo de Chaparrito from Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust, listening to some classical piano, and tackling my quarterly sales taxes. Because nothing says a relaxing afternoon quite like a fine cigar, a little Chopin, and the Florida Department of Revenue.
Here's something most people don't know about me. If you hear music playing in my lounge or in my car, there's a 99% chance it's classical.
For some reason, people are always shocked to find out that I absolutely love classical music. And opera? Love that too.
There's an old saying about classical music. If you love it, you'll love it for life. If you hate it, you might eventually learn to appreciate it, but you'll never truly learn to love it.
Funny enough, I've heard something similar said about cigars made by @stevesaka
If you love his cigars, you'll love them for life.
And if you hate them, well, your palate is trash, your opinions are invalid, and you should probably just stop smoking cigars altogether.
At least I think that's how the saying goes.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some taxes to finish and some Mozart to appreciate. – at Warm Mineral Springs, FL
This is one of the best Connecticut's on the market today. Top 5 for sure.

As I sit here getting ready to enjoy a perfectly balanced breakfast of 12 pizza bagels, I have two very important questions for everyone.
And yes, 12. Because I’m not an animal.
1️⃣ What’s your GO number and your NO-GO number?
My GO number is 6. Things in multiples of six just make sense. Pizza bagels. Pizza rolls. Pizza slices. Cookies. The universe is balanced and all is right with the world.
My NO-GO number?
7.
I don’t trust seven.
Want to ruin my entire day? Serve me seven of something. Give me 14 of something. Set the TV volume to 21. I will immediately assume you have chosen violence.
I was talking to someone the other day who I thought was my friend, and he tells me his GO number is 7 and his NO-GO number is 6.
Psychopath.
The other numbers and I are cool. No issues. We coexist peacefully.
It’s just that cocky little bastard 7 walking around like it didn’t eat 9.
2️⃣ Now, more importantly... Bricktoberfest. 🍺💨
As you can see in the background, I’ve collected all the @JCNewmanCigars Bricktoberfest steins, mugs, and boots over the years.
How many do you have?
And have you grabbed this year’s stein yet? And FYI, this year will be the 6th edition of them.
I’ve already seen retailers posting that they have them in, so if you haven’t gotten yours yet, head over to the J.C. Newman Cigar website, find a participating retailer near you, and go get one.
Luckily they come in boxes of 10.
Not seven. Or I couldn't participate. – at Warm Mineral Springs, FL
