The clock stopping after first downs isn't why CFB games took to long. Going from a commerical, kicking the ball off, and going back to a commercial is why CFB games take too long.

Chris Ash had 2 weeks to prepare for Navy and his defense looks like it's never seen the option.

Freeman has to take over this defense after all that’s his specialty. It’s inexcusable to have this kinda talent on defense and it plays like this. The lack of coaching by Ash is astounding!!

It won’t happen, and I don’t say this lightly, but Ash should receive his dismissal notice in the morning. This is giving me Van Gorder vibes bad.

This is probably the most talented Notre Dame team of the 21st century, yet I absolutely hate them. They are soft, play with no energy, have no heart, and just don’t seem to care. What a waste.

One of the wildest nights in college football history happened in 1996.
September 21, 1996. Auburn vs LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium, 85,000 people in the stands, and the game is still scoreless in the first quarter.
Then a huge column of black smoke starts rising right behind the southeast corner of the stadium. Within minutes the flames are as high as the upper deck. The old Auburn Sports Arena, nicknamed "The Barn," is burning to the ground, just yards from the stadium. Fans at the top of the stands turned around and watched it with sparks floating over their heads.
ESPN's Ron Franklin told the country: "Right now very few people are watching the field. They are very concerned with the situation at the southeastern corner of the stadium."
Here's the crazy part. They never stopped the game. The PA announcer said the fire was outside the stadium, the fire department got to work, and Auburn and LSU just kept playing. LSU won 19-15.
The building had been Auburn's basketball arena for decades, and by then it was home to gymnastics. It was already scheduled to be torn down. It took $38,000 worth of gymnastics equipment and a few cars with it. Nobody was hurt. The most likely cause was a tailgater's grill left unattended under the overhang.
Imagine that happening today. A building the size of a small arena going up in flames behind a packed stadium, and everybody just keeps playing football. The cameras would never leave it, the game would be stopped in a minute, and every fan in the building would be filming.

There’s a second left on the clock on the field and the scoreboard on TV too when the ball hits the ground

I feel like it’s finally safe to say this out loud: The COVID era was a time of staggering overreach and repeated, official betrayal. They took our freedom, our livelihoods, and our trust, and no one has answered for it. We were forced into isolation, fueling a massive psychological crisis. Beaches, parks, and trails where transmission was virtually impossible were closed, ignoring the crucial role of sunlight and Vitamin D for immune function. The government and employers forced vaccine mandates, making millions choose between a medical treatment lacking long-term safety data and their ability to feed their families. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical companies were granted total immunity from liability. If you had a severe vaccine reaction, you were on your own. When people tried to share these stories of big tech silenced them and deleted their accounts. The architects of these policies, like Dr. Fauci, shifted goalposts constantly. He received a preemptive presidential pardon from Joe Biden, and when recently questioned by Congress, pleaded the Fifth Amendment 111 times. The biggest failure? We knew early on that metabolic dysfunction was a massive risk factor for severe COVID. Yet public health officials stayed completely silent on the importance of quality food, exercise, and true metabolic resilience. Instagram deleted my account in 2021 for pointing all of these things out. YouTube deleted multiple videos on these topics. We all lost something during those years. Whether it was someone you loved, your job, your sovereignty, or your health... I am truly sorry for your loss. If all of this makes you angry, you’re my kind of people. Let's make sure this never happens again.
