I thought the point of the film’s “smart fat girl” line was that it demonstrates how out of touch/deluded Miranda -and by extension, the fashion industry-is (Hathaway is clearly v.thin). Its inappropriateness is what made it funny. This is just weird (and the hobbit line is lame)
