Snoop Dogg explained in 80 seconds why men stopped approaching women.
Do men not shoot their shot anymore because social media turned dating into a simulation?
Snoop says yes, and his reason is better than the usual “phones ruined everything” take.
In his era, getting with someone took real effort. You had to look at her, talk to her, get her to like you, and know her parents and how she moved. You had to get involved before you could get involved.
Now it’s a couple of pictures and a couple of lines, and people expect something real from a few typed words.
The part I found most interesting is his point about texting. A text gives you what he’s typing, not what he’s saying. “You look good today” can read as sweet or creepy depending on the mood of the person reading it. Text has no tone, face or feeling to go with it.
Approaching someone in person is hard on purpose. It makes you learn to read people, handle a no, and become someone worth talking to. When you skip that, you also skip what it would have taught you.
What he calls the cheat code ended up costing men the skill.

I'm not going to name the school, but the @BBC's coverage of the antisemitism in schools report featured interviews with children from a Jewish school.
Here's the rub, though.
The school's own published curriculum explicitly teaches Zionism, celebrates the establishment of Israel and describes preparing pupils to become "positive advocates for Israel" at university.
It even references bringing in organisations such as StandWithUs to prepare pupils for that advocacy.
Now, let me be absolutely clear. There is nothing wrong with teaching Jewish history, culture or identity. And antisemitism must be challenged wherever it exists.
But when children are actively encouraged to advocate for a particular state, rather than critically examine its history, policies and actions, surely we have to question whether this is education or ideological conditioning?
And here's the staggering hypocrisy.
We're being told that schools must exercise political impartiality when discussing Palestine, while a school can openly describe preparing children to advocate for Israel.
Political impartiality cannot be a principle applied selectively, depending on which side of a conflict children are encouraged to support.
And the BBC has a responsibility to scrutinise that distinction, not simply present children's views without examining the educational environment in which those views have developed.
Children deserve an education that teaches them how to think, not what to think.

Abdul El-Sayed is asked on MSNOW if he is worried that his anti-Zionist messaging "echoes an old antisemitic trope"
Abdul: "The idea that somehow we are going to use the spectre of antisemitism to defend what a foreign government is doing, does a deep disservice to the well-being of Jewish Americans in this country."
Jackie Alemany: "You haven't made that same tradeoff argument with regards to other items in the US's 800 billion dollar defense budget"
Abdul: "Oh I have, you just don't cover it. No, No, No. I have. You just don't cover it. I'll say the same thing about the money we send to Egypt, which is where my family comes from. So if you want to go ahead and call me anti-Egyptian, go ahead and do that"

A vast comms operation is underway to justify increased UK military spending: journalists, spooks, former military figures and foreign politicians. We didn’t vote for them and they aren’t accountable to us.
What you aren’t seeing is any organic popular support.

ICYMI: The New York Knicks are NBA Champions, as called by @LT__Murray and @McNuttMonica !
Thank you to all of the incredible fans for listening to @ESPNNewYork this season. Your home of the NBA Champions.
Goodness gracious me
‘On the basis of that logic, would you ban Tommy Robinson’s rally?’
@Lewis_Goodall pushes the Tories’ Helen Whately for ‘consistency’ as the party calls for a ban on pro-Palestine ‘hate marches’.
The Lakers wearing black in a HOME playoff game is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.
Adam Silver, I’m begging you to go back to the home team wearing white. Or at the very least, the road team cannot wear white

Arsenal’s systemic issues come from having a manager who believes his philosophy is more important than having good players.
If you believe Rice is the missing piece, then you play him as a 6 and deal with the consequences OR go back to 4-2-3-1

The technical level of this team, especially in a fast-paced game, is just too low.
I was on this train that whole season as a Warriors fan. Then I saw Lebron make a pass to Kevin Love in the clutch @ Knicks and I just knew that this was the pinnacle of the sport I was watching
