Instead of a "team lead", I will always prefer a diverse domain expertise among team members and combine it with a neutral moderator role.
It's so hard to find good moderators though.

- There are many tests for demand: survey results, pre-orders, low NPS for high-revenue competitors, etc.
- Most tests have false positives, false negatives, or both.
- Easier to validate the problem than your specific solution.
