Trump has been saying for years that these taxes and regulations are why people and businesses flee blue states. Now California is locking in the higher rates on anyone making over $370k so the cash never stops. $5–15 billion a year that doesn’t expire. Most of it goes straight to the same K-12 system that keeps failing while the teachers union that put this on the ballot gets paid. They sold it as an emergency. They extended it as a temporary fix. Now they’re trying to make the extraction permanent while the high earners keep leaving and the same politicians will turn around and blame you for the shortfall. This is the California version of the spending Omar defends. This is why Elon left. This is the trap Trump keeps calling out. They lied twice when they said temporary. They’re done pretending.
