The last thing I did on RWBY was make guideline for crowds in scenes. I dont know if it gained much traction, because I soon moved to Japan. But people keep asking for the pdf, so I'm just going to share it online

And while most NYC-based shows like Sex And The City addressed 9/11 in their storylines, Friends chose not to acknowledge it. They just stopped using images of the WTC in their scene cuts. I'm not criticizing them by pointing it out, but it's a choice.

Heres one example. Going from pose A to pose B works alright, but adding in a pose C can really make an animation shine

this reminds me of a gradient tutorial saying that you should avoid crossing colors through the center of the RGB cube becuz that's where the grayscale is which makes your gradient "muddy", so you add a 3rd color on the outside it blew my mind (but didn't help me cuz I'm a bum)

Literally all of these movies were colored digitally, and the DVD, blu ray, and stream came from the same digital files. None of them came from the 35mm print(why would they). Theyre using your unplaced anxiety and doom for a cause that doesn't exist

I think the refference gathering is the most important part of the animators job. That's why the web swing in Mark Webb's Spiderman is so realistic. They hired stunt double to record video-refference of people doing something LIKE spiderman would do...(cont..)
