I let IDW Sonic off easy on alotta stuff since 8 times outta 10 I think his ooc moments are a bit blown outta proportion but this is probably the one moment I’ll point to and say “yea this is really out of character for Sonic to say” it just doesn’t work for him.
Saiyans not being able to breath in space for me is the same as not being able to keep fighting underwater. Like yea they can fight there for awhile but eventually they’re gonna need to get oxygen back. I don’t think the moment Goku enters space he’ll suffocate.

Did Goku need to do all that for Saitama? No. Realistically would he only need SSJ3 to beat Saitama? Yes. Does stuff like Dragon Fist and Kaio-Ken Times 100 make the fight cooler? Kinda yea.
