I’m beyond grateful to be endorsed by the @nvassemblydems and Assemblymember @Tanya_Flanagan as I run to serve the people of District 7 again. Now more than ever, Nevadans need leaders who will expand economic opportunity and make life more affordable for working people.

As CEO of the Urban Chamber, I understand how crucial peer-to-peer payment solutions are for NV's small businesses. Read @ElaineMarzola's op-ed on why lasvegassun.com/news/2024/se… Grateful to @SenCortezMasto for her leadership in keeping these services free!

Financial crimes investigators deserve support from government, not defunding

Democrat C.H. Miller resigning from Assembly, will run for Las Vegas City Council - The Nevada...

Miller, 43, won't seek re-election, citing family growth and plans to move. He's the 13th lawmaker not returning in 2025 due to various reasons.

AB525 funded organizations doing critical work in our communities, including supporting minority-owned small businesses. Because my connection to one of the organizations--the Urban Chamber--has come into question, I want to make clear my ethical considerations ahead of voting:

For this reason, I abstained from voting on the bill in committee. After getting a recommendation from the Legislative Counsel Bureau allowing me to vote, I voted yea. I believed in this bill then and I still do today.

“But don’t worry my sister, God has got you. And how do I know that? Because you are here and I know what it has taken to sit in that seat.” - Senator @CoryBooker to Judge Jackson today. Thank you Senator for saying what needed to be said.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson gets emotional listening to Sen. Cory Booker’s passionate speech about brushing off the haters, ‘I know what it’s taken for you to sit in that seat’

3/3: Last thing-- Be 100% of yourself. God didn’t make any mistakes. The full evolution of you is what the world is waiting to celebrate. Keeping making Black history! #SiXBHM

2/3: As we celebrate these icons remember that if they did it, you can do it too! Put ur own swag to it. Be true to who you are, be willing to forgive yourself & don’t stop moving forward. No matter what happens don’t ever let go of the hope that things will get better!#SiXBHM

1/3: Every person that we celebrate for black history was once your age. They had similar struggles and hardships to overcome. They didn’t always make the best decisions. They didn’t always get it right. Like us they had to figure out how to overcome every day. #SiXBHM

Everyone deserves an equitable shot at success, whatever way they see it regardless of their race, class, background, or even their past mistakes. We will thrive as a people when we are able to collectively recognize our power as a social & economic super power. #SiXBHM

The most direct way to disrupt anti-Black racism is to center racial equity in policy making. Authentic engagement with black communities, equitable outcomes and accountability are the ways that we, as legislators, can break down systems of racism today and in the future. #SiXBHM

We must stop the school to prison pipeline and policies that criminalize youth before they ever get a chance to thrive. My highest priority is ending the direct filing of minors into the adult judicial system. 60% of direct filed youth in NV are Black! #SiXBHM

My campaign slogan was “for Nevada’s future” so my priorities span areas creating equity and opportunities across the board. Social & Economic Justice is vitally important to the recovery of our folks from the pandemic. #SiXBHM
