On September 20, 1992, nearly 30,000 folks gathered at Seattle’s Magnuson Park for the free concert built around “Rock the Vote”. The largest voter registration effort of its time, more than 3,000 attendees registered to vote that day.
The show had been originally planned for Gas Works Park earlier that year before being cancelled last minute and rescheduled with a lineup that included Cypress Hill, Seaweed, Shawn Smith, Pete Droge and Jim Rose.

As Trump tries to ban CNN from the White House, it would be a massive mistake to cave on the Paramount merger.
The last thing we need is another Trump-controlled media conglomerate abusing its power to stomp out competition.
This is a dangerous merger.
Paramount Skydance is in “advanced talks” with California Attorney General Rob Bonta to settle the 12-state antitrust suit that’s holding up its takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery.
A Paramount spokesperson declined to comment. A rep for Bonta’s office said, “Potential settlement talks are confidential. We cannot confirm or deny whether settlement talks are occurring or their alleged substance.”

My sister Eliana was a DIEHARD Los Angeles sports fan.
Her first love was the Los Angeles Lakers. Her childhood crush was Derek Fisher. I will forever cherish the 2000-2002 and 2009-2010 Lakers championships where we watched all the games together.
When the Rams moved back to LA, she became obsessed with going to NFL games and LOVED SoFi Stadium.
As far as baseball goes, she was a lapsed Angels fan. One of the best moments of our childhood as OC kids was seeing the Angels win the World Series for the first time in 2002, but more recently, she rooted for the Dodgers.
This is an important part of her lore that is not being reported about enough!

BREAKING: @CAGovernor Gavin Newsom just signed a bill (#SB1354) that would prohibit other state militaries from entering California without the Governor’s explicit permission.
This new law closes a legal loophole where other states could have deployed their military under Title 32 — even at the President’s suggestion.
This comes as the National Guard has been politicized over the last year — first in Los Angeles by President Trump.
