Everyone should see the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter through a physical #telescope at some point. Just sayin'.

"They're not sentient but don't be mean to them" is an interesting start to the robot apocalypse that was definitely represented in the #Scifi history on the subject. #anthropic
Anthropic may start banning people for bullying Claude Their upcoming Usage Policy prohibits β€œsustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior toward our models”

I pay for Prime Video, with ultra, which is the "AD FREE" upgrade, very clearly, but no, I watch a movie and get two long ads... take a phone call, get timed out and have to rewatch ALL the ads to see the end because the movie is "Only available with ads". FSCK YOU @PrimeVideo.

I got to play this game really early and just development cycle and it's super cool. Give it a look!
The classic Chromebook game Kick Bot from 12 years ago is reborn on Steam! All the same wall-jumping action but now with RAM SLAM minigame, character customization, and online leaderboards! Wow! Reboot. then kick some bot! store.steampowered.com/app/3… #steamgames #indiegames #remake

Integer overflow error in the wild on @etrade . Nothing like being able to recognize powers of two (and their siblings) on sight.

My wife and I own like 35 sets of matching undies. Currently all of our laundry is clean but we only have been able to match three sets. I have 11 pair for which she has no match and she has five for which I have no match. I do not remotely understand #laundry #math.

This is nuts on many levels. But one of the more interesting that I hadn't realized is that AI can now generate this level of quality video faster than real time. Faster than it plays back. This is an important inflection point for simulations, but a weird one for AI.
Okay I built it! 🍰 Infinite Slop levels.io/infinite-slop An infinite and interactive AI generated live stream of slop that goes on forever and ever Anything that you write in the chat is generated next and AI will try to connect it to the previous video so there's an actual sequence and story line Idea by @marcantoinefon and @rehan_shei's original stream so I made it It'd be very expensive to run this so @fal very generously sponsors this They also fine-tuned the model that makes this possible for the first time, making Minimax H3 50x faster and as "Max" and it can now generate videos faster than you can watch them, very cool! Let me know what you think!!!! 😊

Woah 😳 that looks so surreal!!! What a crazy situation, hope they can successfully recover it!
The SpaceX Recovery team is still working to recover Flight 13’s Starship from the Indian Ocean. They’ve been overcoming challenging conditions and increasingly rough seas as they attempt to guide the 52m long spacecraft to port

Mac Numbers is awful. I know this is well known but every couple of years I find the need to remind myself with a bit of pain.

Here's the official announcement from the founder, a friend of mine, for Sapient Labs coming out of stealth. This is a right minded approach to managing your knowledge and IP in an #AI setting. Take a look!
1/ Every day you make some AI smarter, and you own none of it. It forgets you between sessions, locks you to one vendor, and trains on your work for everyone but you. Today we're launching Sapience Labs, a different kind of architecture.

Ah, feels like summer! Hours at the pool every day with the three year old. Hot dogs for lunch. I highly recommend taking summers off as an adult. (Even if it's an inadvertent early retirement). Viva la summer!

This is how I find out that they stopped putting the little beep speakers inside computers? I love those things. Guess I haven't gotten a new motherboard in... like 15 years? howtogeek.com/this-forgotten…

Goodness the robots #AI overlords aren't QUITE taking over yet. This is a accurate transcript of the voicemail a war dialing robot just left me: "We are sorry, an application error has occurred. Goodbye."

Oh, good. BITNET. Yet another term from my young developer days wiped from the top 100 search results in 24 hours. Off to play with it.
