Trump doesnt understand France, they are a nation that vehemently defends what the previous generation ensured they had, this is literally not black and white, it's France getting off there asses for the 3rd or 4th time this century alone and saying to its Goverment, sort the issues or we'll topple you.
JUST IN: President Trump SLAMS Emmanuel Macron for letting “everybody from the world come in” to France.
Trump said he warned Macron long before the recent riots that he was making a BIG MISTAKE by keeping France’s borders open.
He even went as far as to say that “Paris is going to be a MUSLIM city very soon.”
TRUMP: “I told Emmanuel you should close up your borders…I told him as soon as I met him.”
“I said you’re making a big mistake. We closed our borders, he didn’t.”
“And you know what? His borders are a problem.”

Apparently Liberation Scotland is a 'Johnny-come-lately', a 'bandwagon jumper' on the basis that, when we decided on a name, we chose 'the Liberation Scotland Committee' rather than 'the Scotland-UN Committee'. The initiative of Sara Salyers, Iain Lawson and others to establish Salvo and Liberation Scotland was surely some 'bandwagon'!
The Scotland-UN Committee, which ran from 1979 to its disbandment in 2007, did admirable work, as we all know and appreciate, in lobbying for and contributing hugely to achieving Scottish devolution in 1999. As we researched the committee's papers, our view was that it should stand on its own with its achievement and the memory of the members who fought so hard for Scottish home rule, including of course that of Willie McRae, murdered in the course of, and perhaps because of, the progress it made.
We are wondering, thought, what reviving the name is intended to achieve today to fully decolonize our country and restore the pre-1707 sovereignty, for which Salvo and Liberation Scotland – a democratically constituted and managed liberation movement – have done a huge amount of groundwork and research, making significant inroads into getting Scotland's case both known internationally and formally registered in the UN system.
Robin McAlpine's scathing 'dear UN' letter quip is an unworthy and pretty shabby remark for a fellow nationalist to make on an organisation of dedicated, unpaid volunteers with bedrock-solid research and distinguished legal advice at its back. But he does have a point. First, gratuitous fragmentation is an unappealing habit of the nationalist movement. Second, perfunctory and duplicate engagement with UN bodies is neither effective nor helpful.

Don't be daft! My constant agenda is against the colonisation of Scotland and anyone - anyone who defends the official hoax. Most of all anyone who has been elected on a claim to support independence and then lies to the Scottish people about our real status, (annexed), about the fake union and about the fact that there is a route to freedom. This paper is a lie. Not a bit misleading but an outright lie repeating the dishonest arguments of the English state and trying to convince Scots that the only route out is the one that English law requires. Now for pity's sake, please wake up. We recently discovered our erstwhile UN advocates, still pretending to represent our interests and still wanting our money, had 'crossed the floor'. When the evidence is there you do NOT close your eyes and stick your fingers in your ears. You call it out and do something about it. Or you are an accomplice to your own betrayal. One more thing, the majority of the SNP membership are the same brilliant people who helped take it from a fringe party to the main Scottish party. At least half Salvo's membership is SNP. I'd rejoin my old SNP in a heartbeat. But in *this* SNP, the 'leadership' have shown you exactly who they are. Believe them and do something about it because you can be 100% they are not working for independence.
The truth about the 2014 Referendum expertly evaluated by @thomsonchris
@UN, this needs to be investigated with the highest priority, Scotlands people are suffering the consequences of being kept in union and dragged out of Europe whilst systematically being stripped of our resources.
People will die this winter due to high fuel costs in a country that should bear no such weight.
Unmasking the Manipulation of Scotland’s 2014 Referendum. The @UN through its decolonisation mechanisms will prevent such manipulation.
The 2014 Scottish independence referendum has often been hailed by the English establishment as a triumph of democratic expression, a peaceful, decisive moment where the people of Scotland “chose” to remain in the 'United Kingdom'. Yet, this narrative collapses under even modest scrutiny. Behind the ceremonial surface of ballot boxes and televised debates lay a calculated system of structural manipulation: a media environment rigged by state broadcasters, an electoral franchise designed to dilute the Scottish voice, and a campaign of fear orchestrated at the highest levels of government and finance. What occurred was not an equal contest between competing futures, but a managed defeat, engineered to preserve Westminster’s colonial grip on Scotland under the guise of democratic legitimacy. Let's reopen the record to expose how the British state, through psychological warfare, economic coercion, and covert interference, ensured the survival of its shrinking Union by strangling the very principles it claimed to uphold.

"the UN is quite clear on this, that there should be no external interference"
[Roddy] "Alf, you and I have discussed before, the franchise, and you have recommended yourself in your book, the franchise should be possibly using the UN method, which they set out, for example, in the New Caledonia referendum."
[Alf] "Yeah, well, what we're talking about here is self-determination, independence. And the UN is quite clear on this, that there should be no external interference in that, at all.
"And that includes external media, other governments, other funding, and so on. So the referendum we had in 2014 was full of external interference, and the propaganda blitz that we had.
"Basically, 'Better Together' was external interference, if you like, because these are all UK parties that were participating in, and opposing the self-determination of the Scots. So the entire referendum in 2014 was subject to external interference.
"But fundamentally, the franchise which, because Holyrood was given a local government franchise, that's the franchise they're using. So they're using a local government franchise for not only national elections, but also national referendum, which is completely irregular and allows a lot of people passing through or holiday homes, students.
"Basically anybody that has an address in Scotland can vote against Scottish sovereignty, and vote to give away Scottish sovereignty. And this is a real problem.
"So it's a very irregular franchise. And as you say, the UN sanctioned approach in New Caledonia had secondary criteria, and that secondary criteria was designed to basically take out of the vote,
"I think, as many as 20% of the resident voters, if you like, that didn't qualify under that criteria, and that included length of time within the country, as well as if you had parents born in New Caledonia; where your main economic interests were in New Caledonia or not.
"So we have to remember that a lot of people wouldn't qualify in that sense, if we had the same secondary criteria in Scotland.
"So the entire referendum that we had in 2014 was subject to immense external interference, not just the franchise, but the whole process itself." @Scotpol1314 @thomsonchris @Broonpot @ScotSalvo @SalvoHighlands @SSRG2021 @LiberationScot @LiberateScot @IndyScotParty @SSalyers2 @CraigMurrayOrg

While the constitutional debate rages in the comment sections, The Line of Struggle went to the record.
A new state leaves a birth certificate, a founding instrument, a first sitting, a moment the paperwork says one thing ended and another began. Go looking for it in 1707 and it is not there. What you find is an English Parliament that carried on, took in a contingent of Scots, and changed its name.
Then the state's own documents name themselves: "Crown of England, or of Great Britain," six times in one statute, sixty-five years after the Union. The condition Scotland's ratification stood on, declared fundamental "in all time coming," was then overridden within twelve months, lawfully, by the continuing Parliament, on its own account of its own powers.
Not breached. Never validly formed. Void ab initio, in the Anglo-British state's own hand.
It has already survived its first hostile review. A retired unionist lawyer went through it looking for the kill and came away having supplied a footnote, adopted in the open, with thanks, and the central finding came out harder than it went in.
For a man called Angry Pict, the author has been remarkably measured about the whole thing. Three centuries of provocation and the Pict stays calm, whilst the article delivers yet another blow against the colonial narrative.
Part two, The Rule, Not the Exception, lands Wednesday: was the breach an accident, or the first run of a method still running today?

Collective trauma is coming in England when the English public finally realises the truth. Not just a little truth, but the kind that shatters illusions & shreds pride; exposing generations of smug delusion. They were never subsidising Scotland. Scotland was never poor, never wee. The whole myth was a convenient lie, spoon-fed to keep the Scottish colony quiet and the English coloniser smug. All the money has been flowing south. Scotland's oil, gas, electricity, water, food, whisky, hard-earned taxes, etc. have been funding the English state while England played the saviour. When the lie collapses, when the average Englishman discovers he’s been living off the very people he mocked, it won’t be pretty. Expect rage, denial, flag-waving hysteria, roots (?). Then silence. The silence of a nation staring into the abyss of its own delusion. Little England will need to reinvent itself without plundering Scottish resources and identity.
Manufacturing Consent and Deferring Liberation under Colonial Domination: A Global Theory of Propaganda & the Subjugation of Scotland by the English State
I have been looking into propaganda techniques & theoretical frameworks across centuries & cultures/geographies for a while now. None appears more meticulously refined, more insidiously embedded in institutional life, than the complex architecture of propaganda deployed by the English state to handle/manage, defer, ultimately obscure & prevent Scotland’s liberation. The violence of this strategy cannot be confined to historical memory. It remains active, manifesting materially, epistemologically in the present. Through coercion, seduction, simulation, lies and control over symbolic production, the English coloniser does not simply govern. The regime scripts the field of perception itself. Consent becomes manufactured through layered mechanisms, where representation replaces presence, performance displaces substance, "aestheticisation" of history substitutes for political truth. Scotland, in this process, becomes a managed, passive object, not an agent.
This colonial matrix (cf. my post on Scotland as England's foundational colonial model: xitter.cf/thomsonchris/status/19… ) cannot be understood through legalistic framings or policy diagnostics alone. Propaganda, as classically defined and more recently theorised (for propaganda notions/history cf. e.g. Marlin; Taylor; Stanley), must be recognised not as an accessory to power but as its condition of possibility. Every mediated discourse that purports to explain Scotland’s position within the fake 'United Kingdom' does so from within a matrix constructed by the English colonial power. The rituals of English parliamentarianism, the pageantry of English monarchy, the language of (English) unionism, the appeals to English procedural democracy operate as mechanisms of symbolic domination (cf. Bourdieu). In such a regime, discourse serves to conceal not to reveal, defer & domesticate not deliberate & emancipate.
The rigged, manipulated referendum of 2014, illegal under any international/UN law franchise, must be located within this architecture of control (cf. xitter.cf/thomsonchris/status/19…). The event did not constitute a democratic rupture but a carefully bounded simulation of sovereignty (cf. Baudrillard's hyperreality & simulation/simulacra). Political subjectivity was permitted only in tightly regulated form, pre-emptively circumscribed by threats of economic collapse, diplomatic isolation & exclusion, & military uncertainty. All lies. The performance of popular participation obscured the fact that the parameters of the decision had already been defined by the English colonial power. No referendum that leaves sovereignty contingent upon permission from the very state accused of denying that sovereignty can ever be regarded as authentic. A fake, colonial referendum.
The rhetoric of “once-in-a-generation” was never merely descriptive. This phrase functioned as a propagandistic technique of exhaustion. By temporally isolating the event, investing it with finality, the colonial state engineered a psychological & political paralysis. Sovereignty was transfigured into an act of episodic consent, rather than a continuous right rooted in historical title & self-recognition. Such framing belongs to the arsenal of colonial temporality, in which the dominated/colonised are always asked to wait, to prove readiness, to mature into the rights that have been systematically denied. Textbook colonialism. Scotland is a colony of England.

"Scotland was a sovereign kingdom for centuries, with the oldest flag in Europe." Dr. Christophe Dorigné-Thomson of Liberation Scotland speaking at Club suisse de la presse-Geneva press club.
"So in 1954, a Royal Commission on Scottish Affairs, wrote that Scotland was a partner in a union and not a dependency. Scotland was a partner in a union and not a dependency.
"So the British state created a commission to say that.
"I'm half French, France would never create a commission like that, if there was not a major, major problem, it would be impossible.
"You do not create a commission to say that you have a territory that's not a dependency when nobody's asking anything about it. Or supposedly.
"And so colonies are not only about settlers, but also about imposing constitutions. We know about that in Scotland. So pause for a moment on how extraordinary this is.
"Scotland was a sovereign kingdom for centuries, with the oldest flag in Europe. Its own crown, its own parliament, its own courts, its own church, its own system of law. Yeah. Fully developed state.
"It had trading posts all over Europe. Scotland conducted its own diplomacy. It had an alliance with France for 250 years. Scotland played an outsized part in founding the United States.
"Scots served as rectors of University of Paris Sorbonne for decades. Scottish General helped develop the militaries of the US, even founded them.
"Russia, France, Netherlands, Scottish doctors everywhere, inventors, etc. And we are supposedly a voluntary partner that can't even have a vote.
"So its independence was proclaimed to the Pope in the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320, which largely inspired the US Constitution. Then it was recognised by the Pope and recognised by England itself.
"Europe has restored states. I think that's an important point. Poland reappeared in 1918. The Baltic states recovered their sovereignty. Norway left its union with Sweden, but Scotland annexed in 1707, more than three centuries, remains unexamined.
"So Europe has repeatedly undone annexations, actually, and unions. So that's an important point."

Replying to @STVNews
In international law, there was no resolution. A non-binding rigged colonial poll with a colonial franchise that would never be accepted under UN supervision and international law is not "clear resolution". As an English colony, submitted to annexation, Scotland's decolonization is essential for global peace & reform. It has started via the UN. English colonial crimes are being exposed globally. The English colonial state must end its illegal occupation & leave Scottish territory. Any Scot that still believes the English colonial state will leave Scotland willingly doesn't understand what's happening. They're colonisers. They steal and plunder. They don't leave without international pressure and resistance.
Couldn't put it any better.
"There are two crowns, two kingdoms, one is subordinated to the other, that is the definition of a dependency"
The people of Scotland are the crown, its about time we use this status for the good of Scotland.
"They dismantled the Scottish state..."
The final question at the Le Club suisse de la presse event was for @SSalyers2 of the Liberation Scotland Committee:
"Just one last question, someone asking why I could explain why the treaty of 1706 was ultra vires [an action taken without the legal authority or power to do so], and that the reason that I say that Scotland was annexed and that we can prove this, is very simple. Scotland was forced into a treaty by its neighbour, England.
"Both of these were fully developed sovereign and independent European states. England, however, had been trying... you've all seen the movie Braveheart, you know something about the fact that England had been trying to take Scotland over from, actually from about the 7th - 8th century.
"In 1706, it finally forced an agreement. A treaty was signed. But the basis of that treaty, that the thing which the United Kingdom claims to be, is that there was to be a single kingdom.
"So there was no longer to be a Kingdom of England and a Kingdom of Scotland, there was to be a kingdom of, you know, a united single Kingdom of Great Britain.
"A kingdom is the territorial jurisdiction of a crown. Both Scotland and England had a crown. In England, the crown was the monarch. In Scotland, the crown, the monarch wore the crown, but the crown was a 'Community of the Realm', the people.
"So they weren't really, you couldn't really merge them into one. But that wasn't England's intention anyway; they got the treaty signed and then they put Scotland under the English Crown, the English parliament, English state.
"They dismantled the Scottish state. No new state was created.
"As Professor Robert Black, KC, who is well known for his work on Lockerbie, has said: "For England, nothing changed."
"An ancient state, with European allies whose people are still welcomed across Europe, because of those friendships, those... those alliances, rather than wars and attempts to claim territory, that state [Scotland] was extinguished.
"And the treaty, the whole point of the treaty, that was for a single kingdom, did not go into operation, never went into effect.
"The British state claims that it did, pretends that it's in place. But there are two crowns, there are two kingdoms. One is subordinated to the other and that is the definition of a dependency.
"Thank you."

There is no such thing as Britain. @GeorgeFoulkes Do some proper reading for once. Britain was the alternative name for Anglo-land’s imaginary roots in these islands, used from before the Tudors. Scotland was just northern Britain - England up north - just as soon as the ink was dry on a treaty never put into effect.
There is nothing to break up. There is only an ugly and violent abuse calling itself the U.K., calling an act of violation - one state forcing itself on another - a partnership. It’s like describing rape as an act of love. Long since time it ended.
Lavrov just put Scotland on the UN board.
He used Ukraine and Greenland to show the UN applies “territorial integrity” one way and “self-determination” another — then named Scotland.
Westminster calls it an internal matter. A major power just treated it as an international one.
This may be the first real shift in 100s of years, London can no longer treat independence as an internal conversation.
Leave aside, if you can, the media and Anglo-British state frenzy over Russia. Consider for a moment that Scotland's interests aren't analogous to those of the power that controls it: England, renamed first as Great Britain and later the United Kingdom.
Enter the world of Realpolitik, where Scotland's interest in decolonisation runs directly counter to the interests of the colonial power and its allies - the power that has actually controlled Scotland for more than 300 years, not its asserted 'enemy'.
Liberation Scotland is seeking international examination of a relationship which the UK treats as an internal constitutional matter. Other states will approach that question according to their own interests as well as according to international law.
At the UN, Lavrov constructed a legal sequence. He first said that the UN normally invokes territorial integrity for Ukraine; then contrasted that with the Secretariat's formulation on Greenland, where both Danish territorial integrity and Greenlandic self-determination were acknowledged. He then quoted António Guterres saying that, following legal examination, self-determination doesn't apply to Crimea and Donbas in the same way. He only introduce Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland after constructing that contrast.
The significant sentence is:
"It will be interesting to hear the Secretariat's reaction to possible questions from journalists about the plans of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland."
Lavrov is effectively inviting somebody to require the UN Secretariat to articulate its position.
That potentially creates exactly the sort of institutional question Liberation Scotland has been trying to bring into the international arena. If a journalist asks the Secretariat, "Does the principle of self-determination apply to Scotland?", the response itself enters the international discussion. A refusal to answer would also be politically informative; an answer based solely on UK territorial integrity could be compared with the formulation used for Greenland; while acknowledgement of a Scottish self-determination dimension would move the discussion beyond a purely UK domestic constitutional frame.
What Lavrov did next is particularly interesting. He invoked the 1970 Friendly Relations Declaration, UNGA Resolution 2625, and specifically the relationship it establishes between equal rights and self-determination on the one hand and territorial integrity on the other.
Scotland therefore wasn't introduced simply as "another independence movement". Lavrov placed it inside an explicit international-law argument about territorial integrity and self-determination - the same broad legal terrain on which Liberation Scotland is attempting to internationalise its case. Liberation publicly describes its objective as obtaining international recognition of Scotland as a dependency and bringing its case into the UN decolonisation machinery.
That's an agenda-setting act. Whatever Russia's underlying motivation, it potentially encourages the creation of exactly the thing any internationalisation strategy requires: an articulated UN position on Scotland.
What we're seeing is analogous to a geopolitical chess move. The consequential square isn't to begin yet another domestic argument about whether Scotland should be independent. It is whether Scotland's constitutional status becomes a legitimate subject of international-law discussion inside the UN system at all.
On 23 September, Lavrov deliberately pushed a piece onto that square.
