For the past few months I’ve been working on a question: if AI agents write our features, why are dashboards and alerts still built by hand after the release?
I wrote about what we built and what I learned along the way 👇

With the planet in peril, her guardians—the Weapons—rise to the occasion.
Here's your second look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation, launching Spring 2027.
Reflecting on 18 years of software engineering and life.
For the first time, I tried writing something different from a purely technical article.

Giorno 14 da annuncio @PlayStation stop giochi fisici dal 2028.
I giochi fisici sono un'eredità, come i diari delle spedizioni del mondo di Clair Obscur.
Noi combattiamo oggi, per chi verrà dopo.
What if we could encode the way we build software into skills and agents?
We explored this idea by turning our own engineering workflow into a Claude code plugin.

While impressive, for 99% of companies, justifying a one-off $150K+ spend on a single migration is just not realistic.
Even tho they will justify 3 devs spending a year working on it… while also doing other work (incl product work, planning, support etc), as they always do.
The Bun rewrite in Rust would have cost about $165k in tokens if it was done over API

Giorno 7 da annuncio @PlayStationIT su stop dischi fisici dal 2028. No, non mi sono stancato. No, non credo me ne farò una ragione.

Modern AI resulted from research made also by many non-US scientists (Hinton, the French folks, Linnainmaa, many others). The pre-training corpus was produced worldwide with massive code contribution from Europe OSS. What is happening with frontier LLMs is unacceptable.
Prediction: now that with GLM / DeepSeek & more we will see very good LLMs available open weight, and even more when the GPU/RAM insanity will be contained, the open source agents landscape will create *much* better tools that we are used to use today. For instance:
Some talks inspire notes. Others inspire late-night experiments.
After seeing @IwoPlaza’s TypeGPU talk at @appjsconf, I spent a few nights exploring it and revisiting computer graphics concepts, to build a Matrix rain particle system with WebGPU .

Your skill level acts as a ceiling for the agent
So every skill you gain multiplies your output
Never been a better time to git gud
"It's one hell of a time to be a builder." 🛠️
That's how @sethwebster closed @appjsconf 2026, and it stuck with me ever since. My full recap is live: talks, demos, and the legend @wcandillon bending WebGPU to his (and our 😂) will 😍.
