Disclaimer: this account is not affiliated with or ran by Chi Chi. I’m currently trying to find a way to transfer the account to someone related or affiliated to her who wants to keep her memory alive. In the meantime I’m using it to spread awareness about Chi Chi & scleroderma.
Chi Chi Devayne was an African-American drag queen who was born in the deep south. She managed to dig herself out of poverty and spend her final years doing what she loved and touring the world. She tragically recently passed away due to complications with scleroderma.
A memoriam fund is currently being set up for Chi Chi. I’ll add it to the thread once it’s publicized, but in the meantime, here’s a performance from Chi Chi I personally find beautiful and comforting:
