imagine what the editorial room that green lit "let's put a shirtless woman who had surgery to look like a man forward as our 'how to man better' icon" must look and sound like.
what hallucinatory nonsense must be bouncing around that echo chamber?
precisely what demographic of males wants to hear ellen page tell them how to put on and take off clothes or aspires to "that classic page style"?
"ooh, we're edgy, this will get us noticed" only works if the kind of edgy you're aspiring to is seen as cool.
this ain't that. it's passe, outre, lame, and cringe all smashed together in some sort of centrifuge until it reaches criticality.
once an elite becomes sufficiently insular and divorced from any mainstream influence, it essentially devolves to self parody. they really can't see it. they really think this is going to slay.

The United Kingdom is releasing five Muslim terrorists accused of planning an attack on an American airbase.
They should just officially rename themselves the United Islamic Kingdom and get it over with.

Counter Terrorism Policing in the United Kingdom has announced that the five men arrested near RAF Fairford on Sunday will be released on bail this afternoon. The men were arrested in the village of Whelford, a short distance from the base, after police received a call at 12:45 a.m. about three suspicious vehicles traveling toward it.
They were first held under the Explosives Act, then further arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act. RAF Fairford hosts the U.S. Air Force's 501st Combat Support Wing and has served as a hub for U.S. B-1 and B-52 bomber operations against Iran since February.

Counter Terrorism Policing chief Laurence Taylor says: “To be very clear, this does not mean the investigation is over. They are subject to stringent conditions on their movement and contact with others. They absolutely remain under investigation as we explore multiple lines of enquiry.”
“We are considering this from every possible angle,” Taylor said, “including, that this may be activity committed by proxies, or individuals either knowingly or unknowingly, working on behalf of a foreign state.”

One problem Trump faces with the younger generations is they have no context for the stuff he’s doing.
- They don’t know that Venezuela was once the world’s sixth richest country before Communism devoured it.
- They are all but ignorant of the Castro regime’s abuses and the plight of Cubans.
- They are blissfully unaware that Iran started a war with us decades ago and have been slaughtering Americans whenever possible ever since.
- And most importantly, when it comes to Israel, they have no idea that Arafat refused a deal that granted the PLO more than 90% of what it wanted at Camp David, or that Palestinians regularly launch rockets from civilian strongholds specifically so Israel will target those areas in return and Hamas can then scream “Genocide!”
It’s not Gen Z’s fault they don’t know it. We failed them by refusing to teach it.
Or, more specifically, by allowing our educational system to be hijacked long ago by Marxists who aimed to accomplish exactly what is happening now.
We let it happen, and now we are paying for it handily.

- Tax Competitiveness has fallen from 30th–36th nationally to 43rd (bottom 8) in the 2026 Tax Foundation Index, with property taxes now ranked a dismal 48th.
- Cost of Doing Business has plummeted from a strong 14th place in 2019 to 49th (second-worst in the nation) in CNBC’s 2025 rankings.
- Electricity Rates remain among the top 3 highest in the country, but now nearly double the national average, with the gap widening.
- Business Formation and Establishment Growth has collapsed from near the top of the nation to the 9th-lowest in total establishment growth.

Hospitals use AI to scan records and find secondary diagnoses that human reviewers missed. More diagnoses means higher reimbursements. But treatment levels haven't gone up.
BCBSA's SVP of data science said AI is "identifying more billable conditions, not sicker patients." Insurers now deploy their own AI to deny those same claims. Patients pay for both through higher premiums.
My Take
This might be the most American healthcare story I've ever read. Hospitals bought AI to find more things to bill for. Insurers bought AI to deny those bills. The technology cost money on each end and the tab went straight to patients through higher premiums. A billion dollars moved and no one got any healthier. The only thing that changed was the size of the invoices.
Two sides of a trillion-dollar industry found a new tool to fight over the same pool of money and the person in the hospital bed pays for all of it. Premiums go up, denials go up, and the AI vendors collect from everyone. If you want to know who AI works for, stop reading the press releases and look at where the money goes. In healthcare it went straight into the billing department.
