hey so i think this post is getting a bit out of hand. i asked last night for people not to send hate but feel free to ask them genuine questions on their behaviour. if ppl can’t do that i might have to go private. i don’t want death threats or whatever on my hands.
“queer fascist” and it’s a 17 y.o whose entire village got wiped out by the the actual fascists & he was forced to join them. i don’t understand ppl claiming this film doesn’t condemn the fascists when it refuses to absolve him of his crimes
no film is above criticism but i keep seeing this take and it annoys me bc it’s such a good v evil and good will always prevail american film-esque mindset. it was slightly more complicated than that irl. you can’t just erase real history when it’s the backdrop of the film
