The ridiculous arguments by Ambani’s army of Internet shills make no sense
On the one hand, they say Starlink couldn’t possibly compete with the amazing low prices offered by Ambani’s de facto monopoly in India and then, in the same breath, they essentially claim that Starlink would be too strong of a competitor! This is absurd hypocrisy and hyperbole.
The reality is that competition would greatly benefit the average citizen in India by giving them more choices, as it always does. Ambani’s profits will be lower, but he is not going out of business. And, obviously, if Starlink is too expensive in India, no one will buy it, so SpaceX will need to make pricing affordable.
Something feels off with this chorus of “India’s internet is great and super cheap” … the data shows that Indian market is absolutely dominated by mobile. When they say it’s cheap and well connected factually this only applies to mobile usage.
This makes sense because a tower connects thousands of subs instantly after construction and running fiber is a building by building or resident by resident job. This is also why “fixed wireless” has started growing fast. Follow the incentives. It’s the cheapest and shortest route to revenue.
Due to this, India is amongst the highest mobile bandwidth usage populations on the planet. 30-40GB/month. (20-50% above US/UK usage) However, home Fiber lines in India pull closer to 300GB/month. 10x gap
For context, that gap in the US and UK is 20-30x. It’s pretty ubiquitous that if you have access to a lot of more bandwidth you will use it.
Bandwidth abundance does not favor mobile devices.
I’d argue that it’s not very hard to believe that these paltry sub 5% fixed customer penetration numbers would be much higher if a cost effective alternative existed.
Is that alternative existed it wouldn’t be crazy to expect to see the fixed customer numbers jump from 6% to maybe 10%, 15% or 20%. 100M-200M customers.
And if the rest of the world is any precedent that would lead to a dramatic increase in overall bandwidth used.
However, that would mean that mobile bandwidth usage would likely drop or stagnate with in home mobile usage.
This generation will break the patriarchal mindset’s !

"For nothing is fixed, forever and forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have.
The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the moment we break faith with one another, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out."

X and the mainstream media today is going to be filled with cynical 'pragmatists' flexing about how one off protests mean nothing, idealism has no place in India, and of course the normal 'everyone but us is anti-national' rhetoric. It simply reveals how unimaginative they themselves are.
If you're young, be respectful, above all be peaceful, but be passionate and loud about your demands. It is your birth right, even if it amounts to nothing. You deserve an honest education system.
Don't let a bunch of people with bent spines and full bellies tell you otherwise.
Mother in law asking if the daughter in law is a prostitute . Utterly disgusting. What sort of judge is she . #patriarchy .
"Cancel her Bail"- @YashoAzad firm call on Giribala Singh, Judge mother in law of Twisha Sharma, as a shocking tape shows she used words like 'prostitute' for Twisha. With Abha Singh & 3 young women in Twisha's family- my heart BROKE hearing them. In full youtube.com/watch?v=Kxr7MEXC…
There needs to be a paradigm shift in the mindset of people particularly men in this country to bring a change
and that can only happen if women become the main characters of their own life (leading lady ) instead of supporting actress .Invest wisely .

"He Overdosed and Killed My Daughter"- Twisha Sharma's father, with folded hands, in tears, voice trembling asks why the M.P CM wont meet their family, fears that his daughter's in laws are too powerful for justice to ever be served. Her brother is a serving soldier in the Army, yet they had to run pillar to post to get an FIR done. Twisha was found hanging in their house, the husband is on the run- her last chats capture her pain- "Take Me Home, I am in Hell". Her father spoke of the deep regret they feel in not bringing her out of the abusive marriage sooner.
