Always with @RahulGandhi and @priyankagandhi who are the hope of India.
Candid snap from Wayanad.
Operation Spa is underway across Kerala.
Of 821 spa establishments identified in the State, 586 have been inspected. So far, 14 criminal cases have been registered, five persons arrested and notices issued to 44 establishments for non-compliance.
Exploitation of women or illegal activity under the cover of spa services will not be tolerated. Where gaps in the existing regulatory framework are being misused, we will also examine whether stronger legal provisions are required.
At the same time, legitimate Ayurvedic wellness centres and law-abiding spas will not be placed under needless suspicion.
Enforcement will be firm. Legitimate businesses will be protected.
A heavy rush of pilgrims at Sabarimala left many devotees returning from Pamba struggling to find transport to Nilakkal.
Kerala Police responded immediately, deploying 10 police buses for free transport and helping devotees move safely without further difficulty.
I had given clear instructions that pilgrims should not be put to unnecessary hardship. The officers on the ground acted with sensitivity and responsibility.
My appreciation to the Kerala Police personnel who stepped in when it mattered.
No pilgrim should be left stranded.
At Sabarimala, policing must mean both security and service.
A judgment can punish the guilty. But justice must also help those left behind rebuild their lives.
The two children who lost their family in the Chenthamara case have endured an unimaginable tragedy. In light of the court’s observations, the Government will examine the request for employment and every possible measure to support them.
They should not have to rebuild their future alone.
Operation Spa is underway across Kerala.
Complaints of sexual exploitation, unlicensed establishments and serious regulatory gaps cannot be ignored.
Kerala Police has begun inspections across the State, and the Government is also examining whether a stronger legal framework is needed to regulate the sector.
Illegal operators will face action. Legitimate wellness and Ayurvedic establishments will not be placed under needless suspicion.
Enforcement must be firm. Regulation must be clear. Exploitation cannot be allowed.
Three young lives were lost at Nedumbassery. That should open all our eyes.
Kerala Police has intensified checks against driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. There will be no compromise when human lives are at risk.
My appeal is simple: if you drink, don’t drive. If you are under the influence of drugs, don’t drive.
Strict enforcement is not harassment. It is necessary to help ensure that no other family loses a loved one on our roads.
Let us keep our roads safe.
A student entering college should enter a place of learning — not a place of fear.
The proposed Siddharthan Anti-Ragging Bill will introduce a 60-day “Safe Start” period for new students, strengthen campus monitoring and significantly increase penalties for ragging.
The draft also provides for first-year student representation in anti-ragging mechanisms and a State-level Anti-Ragging Commission.
Siddharthan’s death must lead to lasting institutional change. Our campuses must be places of dignity, safety and trust.

No allegation gives anyone the right to become judge, jury and executioner.
What happened at Meenakshipuram is brutal and unacceptable. The law exists to investigate, prosecute and punish — not the mob.
Seven accused have already been arrested and a Special Investigation Team is probing the case. Every effort is also being made to establish the identity of the victim.
Kerala cannot allow another Madhu.
The law must prevail. Mob justice never can.

Delhi Police is refusing to register an FIR on the assault of our students.
Two young women, Athira from Kerala and Ritu from Rajasthan, along with many others, were beaten by Delhi Police.
I have spoken to Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Rajasthan PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra. A Zero FIR has already been registered in Kerala. We will pursue every legal route against the officers responsible, in Kerala, in Rajasthan and in the courts.
Brutality by Amit Shah's Delhi Police will not go unchecked.
In 1930, at Dharasana, Sarojini Naidu led unarmed satyagrahis into police lathis. Not one of them raised a hand. The world watched.
Police can break bones. They cannot break a satyagraha.
India's youth, especially young women, are fearless, determined and united. They are standing up for our democracy, and I stand with them.
Operation Toofan will be judged by its work — enforcement, prevention, awareness and public participation.
Baseless claims should not distract from the fight against drugs or undermine the officers and communities engaged in it.
Kerala will continue that work with seriousness and public support.

Political disagreement is legitimate. To describe @RahulGandhi ji’s democratic protest in Delhi as a “drug-induced tandava” is not political criticism. It is a personal insinuation unbecoming of someone who has held the office of DGP.
It also trivialises Tandava, a sacred expression associated with Lord Shiva’s cosmic dance, by dragging it into a crude political insult.
Rahul Gandhi ji can be challenged on his politics, positions, and arguments. But replacing political debate with baseless personal insinuations lowers the standard of public discourse.
R. Sreelekha should withdraw the remark and apologise.
Disagree politically. Debate fiercely. But maintain dignity.

Protest is not a crime.
NSUI leader and law student Athira has alleged serious assault and mistreatment by Delhi Police during a protest in New Delhi. Kerala Police has registered a Zero FIR on her complaint, and we are examining every available legal avenue to take the matter forward.
The right to protest is fundamental to a democracy.
Allegations of violence against a detained protester — and of a complaint being ignored — demand proper investigation and accountability.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Padma Shri Cheruvayal Raman, who dedicated his life to preserving Kerala’s traditional rice varieties and agricultural heritage.
Through his work, he reminded us of the value of indigenous knowledge, biodiversity and the need to protect what generations before us have carefully nurtured.
His contribution to Kerala’s farming tradition will be remembered with respect.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.

Questions about the electoral process and public accountability cannot be brushed aside.
We will continue to pursue the concerns we have raised politically, democratically, and institutionally. In Kerala, the allegations relating to Gyanesh Kumar’s earlier tenure are also being examined through the proper process.
Facts must come out. Institutions must answer.

#WATCH | Delhi: After the high tea meeting at Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's residence, Keralam Minister Ramesh Chennithala says, "We will continue with the fight because Gyanesh Kumar has completely ruined the election process. INDIA alliance and the Congress party will fight to the last. One thing is very clear: everybody is united, and we will fight against the misdeeds of the central government and especially Gyanesh Kumar. I received an application regarding the misconduct and corrupt activities of Gyanesh Kumar 20 years back when he was a PWD secretary in Kerala. We are going into the details of the file. In the file, it is very clear that he is involved in various corrupt activities... Now, the Kerala government has decided to unearth all these things, and in the coming days, after going into the details, we will take a strong view on these corrupt activities of Gyanesh Kumar. It is already with the Director and the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Kerala."
This is bigger than one meeting or one moment.
Questions about the electoral process and institutional accountability cannot be wished away.
The INDIA alliance remains united in raising these questions and pursuing them through democratic and constitutional means.
