Cesc Fabregas Como have made us look like a team who had won a RAFFLE to be in the Champions league. At times it looked as though Como had 12 players on the pitch. We were TOOTHLESS in attack NO running power in the team An INABILITY to press Como NO patterns in possession A lot of credit has to go to Cesc and the way he has built this team & then you see the way he has got his ideas into this team. Everyone knows their jobs and are dialled in in and out of possession. They play to teammates under pressure - a great example of trust in one another. But that is no excuse for us, we were poor on the night and look a team on zero confidence right now - so much to do to turn this around....and I haven't even got onto the injuries! 🤬 The difference in budgets certainly wasn’t reflected in the difference between the two teams on the pitch! Nico Paz - lovely footballer btw. #MUFC #COMO #UCL

One of these four gentlemen will be the Chief of Defence Forces in the next few months (perhaps even weeks if the changes are made in November). Quite incredibly, all four are 58 years old, the recommended retirement age for a Lieutenant General by Tonje Rules, which means that the three who don't get the promotion will have to retire. 1. Lt Gen John Mugaravai Omenda - born in Vihiga County, Omenda is a celebrated fighter pilot whose exploits in Operation Linda Nchi are widely cited within KDF. By Tonje Rules, he doesn't quite qualify because the next holder of the office should be from the Kenya Army, but the Kenya Air Force folks like to point out that their reign under Gen Ogola was cut short, so the President and the Defence Council may just oblige them. 2. Lt Gen David Kipkemboi Keter - born in Nandi County, he has been Lt Gen for the shortest period of all four, which makes him the least experienced among them. As far as military power goes, his current position as Commander Kenya Army is more powerful than CDF, so my own assessment is that Ruto would rather leave him in position, give him a term extension and appoint someone else as CDF. 3. Lt Gen David Kimaiyo Tarus - born in Uasin Gishu County and forged in the 75th Artillery Battalion, he is probably the easier fit if Ruto wanted a Kalenjin as CDF. In fact, even if Ruto appointed Tarus as CDF and left Keter as Commander KA, there would already be precedence, in Gen Tonje having been CGS while Lt Gen Cheruiyot was Commander KA, as well as Gen Kibochi as CDF and Lt Gen Peter Njiru as Commander KA. Of the two Kalenjins on offer, Lt Gen Tarus is by far the better man. If appointed, he would surprisingly be just the second Kalenjin after Tonje to become a Four Star General. 4. Lt Gen Juma Shee Mwinyikai - born in Kilifi County, this is actually the man I think will be appointed, because it's an election year and Ruto may be encumbered by accusations of tribalism at this time, especially if he needs to also elevate DIG Lagat to IG of Police. Incredibly, if appointed, Lt Gen Mwinyikai would be the THIRD four star General from Kilifi County after Gen Mwathethe and Gen Kibwana. No other county comes close.

Kenya is renowned for its world beating athletes from 800m to Marathon! Eldoret is the spiritual home. Today’s #MashujaaDay2026 , I would have expected athletes especially the ones that blazed the way like Paul Tergat, Moses Tanui, Moses Kiptanui et al to have a place of honour in the high tables. I didn’t see them. Tergat for example is a powerful member of IOC! On such occasions, our athletes should have been honored in the stadium & with State Honours. Most athletes have the lowest state honours of HSC or OGW whilst fraudsters & conmen have EBS! Priorities!

Billionaire Tyler Perry gave his own family 60 days to find jobs or lose his financial support. Despite being worth an estimated $1.4 billion, he refused to keep supporting relatives who weren't working. In the video below, Perry explains why he fired his own aunt and later gave other family members an ultimatum after his mother's death. He wanted them to become financially independent instead of relying on his fortune. One aunt regularly called asking for money, and Perry kept sending it until he offered her a job. But she repeatedly called in and failed to show up for work, so he eventually fired her. His mother had also asked him to support other relatives, and he continued helping them while she was alive. After she died in 2009, Perry sent them letters giving them 60 days to find employment or lose his financial support. According to Perry, every relative eventually found a job. He didn't care whether the jobs paid well because he wanted them to earn their own money and have something to feel proud of. Perry also recalled a relative getting angry when he refused to hand over $1 million. He believed that continually giving money to people who refused to work was making their dependence worse. A billionaire who could afford to support his entire family chose to make them earn their own living. If you had $1.4 billion, would you keep supporting unemployed relatives or give them the same 60-day ultimatum?

💣🚨Michael Carrick to Manchester United Board: “For months now, whenever things have gone wrong, the message coming out of this club has been the same: it’s the coach. It’s the manager’s fault. We’ve heard it with every single one of the men who sat in this seat before me. And I’m telling you, right now, that is not the full story. I’m not the problem. The coaching is not the root of what’s wrong at this club. We’ve got to stop treating the symptoms and start getting to the real issue. You can’t keep changing the man in the dugout and expect a different result when the foundations underneath him haven’t changed. This is not the Manchester United I know. This is not the club I came through, the one that demanded the highest standards in every department. If you want me to take this team forward, then the club has to meet me halfway. I need the authority to bring in the top-quality players this squad actually needs. We can’t keep papering over cracks. Parts of this group need to be moved on and replaced properly, not with more short-term fixes, but with players who raise the level every day. And while we’re at it, the gym, the medical facilities, the recovery setup… they have to be improved. Our players deserve the best environment if we’re serious about competing at the top again. These things matter. They’re not optional extras. This is why so many good coaches have struggled here. They were asked to deliver elite results without the elite tools. That cycle has to stop. I’m not asking for a blank cheque or unlimited patience with no accountability. What I’m asking for is the same thing Arsenal gave Mikel Arteta: time, trust, and proper backing to build something real. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Anyone who thinks we can flick a switch and suddenly be back at the top is not being honest. But if this club is prepared to support the project, properly support it, then I’m ready to do the work. I’m willing to take Manchester United back to the places it belongs. The question is whether the people above me are willing to do their part as well. Because if they are, we can turn this around. If they keep doing the same things and blaming the next coach, then nothing changes. I’m here to be part of the solution. I just need the club to be part of it too.”
