Hospitality is the most obvious and welcoming sector, to get young people back into work.
It's a sector where you can learn many life skills.
Incentivising employers by reducing NI for 16-24 year olds would be a mechanism to trigger this.

80% of #OpenFarmSunday hosts say promoting British produce is a key reason they take part.
This #BritishFoodFortnight, we're celebrating all those farmers opening their gates & helping people see food can be produced in harmony with nature.

Do you know where your food comes from? 🇬🇧
It's something we should all be able to answer.
This @RedTractorFood Myth Buster asked people in York what they look for when buying food — their answers included quality, welfare, assurance & knowing that food comes from a British farm.
During #BritishFoodFortnight, we're celebrating the people behind our food and the farms, fields and countryside that produce it.
Because knowing where our food comes from matters.
Produce British. Serve British. Choose British.

Food is never JUST food!
It shapes our landscapes and livelihoods, our health and environment, our communities and culture.
It connects town and country, land and sea, producer and consumer.
As Love British Food celebrates 25 years, we’ve teamed up with Future Countryside to ask:
What is the role of food in Britain today?
The result is a new collection of essays from voices across the food system and beyond – exploring food, society and the choices that will shape our future.
Different perspectives. One big conversation.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing each essay here, giving you the chance to explore the different perspectives behind this big conversation.

👨🍳🇬🇧 Chefs celebrating British food. Inspiring the next generation.
As part of Love British Food’s 25th anniversary celebrations, students at the @ucbofficial College of Food came together to prepare, cook and serve modern dishes using 100% UK-based ingredients.
Working with Love British Food Chef Ambassador Mathew Shropshall, they explored seasonal British produce including beetroot and Jerusalem artichoke, while developing their understanding of seasonality, provenance and modern cooking.
For Mathew, sharing his passion for food and education with the next generation is a real privilege:
“Inspiring stuff for the future generation of our country, very proud to be part of the anniversary!”
We’re proud to have Mathew helping us celebrate 25 years of Love British Food — and inspiring the chefs of the future. ❤️🇬🇧

A new era for school food 🇬🇧
School food is changing, with new standards set to bring greater focus on nutrition, fruit, vegetables and fibre.
But there’s another important conversation: where that food comes from.
Our Lead Assurance Partner, @RedTractorFood, explores why British standards, provenance and assurance matter more than ever – and how schools and caterers can support British farmers through their food choices.
We’re proud to be working with Red Tractor to champion British food from farm to fork.

🌱 THIS is British Food Fortnight in action. 🇬🇧
Wicor Primary School is doing something extraordinary this year.
Pupils are taking part in a whole-school Field Kitchen Festival — harvesting, preparing, cooking and sharing the fruit and vegetables they have grown themselves.
Over the fortnight, they’ll be cooking alongside an amazing line-up of chefs, artisans and local food champions, turning their school grounds into a celebration of British seasonal food, growing and food education. 👩🍳🍎🥕
As Alexia Robinson, Founder & CEO of Love British Food, says:
“Wicor is an inspiration to all.”
We couldn’t agree more. ❤️
This is how you create the food lovers, cooks and champions of tomorrow.

🍅 Growing your own this year?
Whether it's tomatoes, courgettes, onions or beans, every harvest tells a story.
It's been a challenging season for gardeners and farmers alike.
If British fruit and vegetables look a little smaller or less perfect this year, remember that's nature at work – and they'll still taste just as good.
Have you had a bumper crop or battled the weather too?
We'd love to see what you've grown. Share your photos below! 📸🌱🇬🇧
