if you are feeling hella lost with what’s going on in ML well buddy I have a 1h08min interview with the legendary @vboykis that should set you straight
in it we got:
- good dose of pragmatism
- what you should still learn
- focusing
- how to not lose your braincells to agents

The kids who were told to learn code who then are losing their jobs to Ai are going to code Ai to take down companies that sold them the lie to learn code and then fired them.
It is becoming f*cking dangerous
A 23-year-old dev from China just ran 300 Claude Code agents in parallel and hooked them to a verification layer so none of them could bullshit him
He opens the live dashboard:
- 300 agents writing and checking at the same time
- Every output verified against the source in ~100 ms
- Three passes over 100 company profiles → zero errors left
- Everything dumped straight into an Obsidian vault
The trick is the split: one model does the work, a cheaper one decides if the claim is actually true. The loop doesn’t stop until everything checks out
An analyst team would bill weeks for this. He got it in one run
Same kind of Second Brain + swarm setup that keeps circulating. Bookmark the full breakdown

Thanks to Terry Tao for publishing on his blog an essay I wrote about "golden vs dark ages" scenarios for mathematics and, more broadly, for science!

for folks looking at improving their technical skills I rarely seen someone in the tech education put as much effort as my man moe is putting on deep-ml
highly recommend
Deep-Path: The entire Deep-ML catalog, organized into one structured learning path featuring nearly 2,000 machine learning coding problems and hands-on projects.
Throughout the path, you'll work through the math, implement concepts from scratch using minimal libraries like NumPy or CUDA, and build projects step by step
There's also Deep-Path Essentials, a shorter version with 400 core problems and projects organized into 10 sections, covering the fundamentals of machine learning

At some point pausing AI speeds up a cure for aging actually.
This is counterintuitive.
If an AI company is allowed to put 100% of its resources into data centers and RSI, there's no reason for it to waste money and effort curing aging, cancer or any disease.
If humans become economically obsolete, poor and politically powerless, there's no rational reason for the economy to invest in expensive cures for human diseases. It will be cheaper to just kill off the humans.
To the pause AI community:
Why should the harms you fear from developing AI take a moral precedence over the harms you risk by delaying it?
I want to forward the notion that I defend the negative liberty of AI laboratories to continuously pursue a very critical technology, and I believe the onus would be on you to justify your external interference.
Now, you have attempted to justify that interference by appealing to the catastrophic risks associated with developing said AI, and most famously, that it will kill all humans in X amount of time.
But I’ve never heard anyone in the Pause AI crowd contend with the inverse, which is that if we do not develop this technology, what are the chances we all die? What are the risks of not building this technology?
Now, I’m guessing you probably haven’t done this because it obviously counters the entire movement.
But as someone who believes, and I’m sure you might agree, that we’re facing an anthropogenic climate emergency, I take seriously the scientific consensus that continued greenhouse gas emissions will exacerbate climate risks and potentially have irreversible consequences for millions upon millions of people.
And that’s just one issue. There are many issues that I believe pose great risks to humanity if we don’t build this technology.
So what is your P-doom associated with delaying the development of transformative AI? What probability do you assign to the preventable deaths and prolonged human suffering if we don’t build this technology?
I’m not advocating for any sort of palingenetic reshaping of civilization through AI, but I stand by the possibility that technological progress is going to substantially expand humanity’s positive liberty.

Why are we asking regular people what they think the GDP growth will be in five years
ex-Jane Street trader who trained their Quants called poker sh*t for trading, then revealed what they train Quants instead
Jane Street finally made it public...
It's called Figgie and you can apply for your AI trading setup:
4 players, 10 cards each - one suit is revealed, the biggest holder takes the rest of the pot
why it beats poker:
• poker shows you ~2 hands an hour, Figgie shows you 36
• poker takes 500-1,000 hours to get food, Figgie takes a few dozen
• poker players fold 75% of hands, in Figgie you're in the action 75% of the round
what it drills into you:
• if someone's desperate to buy from you, ask what they know
• update the second the order flow changes
now the twist: it works on AI agents too
someone already sat GPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok at one table, Grok cornered the goal suit in 6 of 10 games and still finished dead last
so your agents can master this game and carry the same skills into real trading
try it now, then read article below on building the best AI trading setup:
