Weather moved my August 11 show at Second Summit Cider in Millcreek indoors; and I loved the unexpected mix: live music, glass art, good food, and community. Indoor or outdoor shows?

For such a huge ship, the First Order buffet is pretty mediocre. I give them a hard time every time I ride Rise of the Resistance. The Resistance has a smaller budget: but much better food. 😂

Dinner became a family art showdown. Tonight at dinner, my niece Sophie drew a cool portrait of me. Not to be outdone, my Bonnie took her own shot at it. It was… special. We laughed and had so much fun! Which portrait wins?

Harmony is still on my mind. I saw Barry Manilow’s “Harmony” at Hale Center Theatre, and I’m still thinking about it. An incredible production about the Comedian Harmonists: beautifully staged, moving, and highly recommended. #UtahArts

Last weekend at Este Pizza, my son surprised me by dancing beside me and singing “It’s a Small World,” then “Joy.” Bonnie took him home… and the crowd chanted for his return. I’m still smiling.

My son’s first concert had me taking notes. Andy Grammer at Red Butte Garden was incredible: my son loved it, and I left inspired to keep writing high-energy, positive songs. Parenting win. #RedButte
