Yep, so weak.
I hate curly hair police. Finer long hair can temporarily look straight when wet. Try this on straight hair π

We don't have lightswitches because most people in the UK don't have electricity yet. But as our bathrooms are generally in a little shed at the bottom of the garden we can see using the sun during the day and the moonlight at night. If it's cloudy we use guesswork.

Sorry to be boring but painkillers arenβt sold in small, individually foiled boxes in Europe because nobody takes them, itβs to prevent suicides and overdoses. After this became law in Britain in 1998, paracetamol-related deaths fell by 43%!
Hey chatgpt dress me up in the traditional costume of the country i look like im from
First attempt Moroccan (apparently because of the curly hair), second attempt German/Austrian. I'm English & Irish π
I brought one of my standalone bird cameras with me to the peak district but the squirrel has stolen the show π

Bollocks to eating nuts, the squirrels in Scotland gorge themselves on Tunnockβs Caramel Wafers. π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
I've gained 2 extra dogs for 2 weeks and walking them on my own in the peak district is hard work (too many sheep to let them off their leads) π
How does my dog always know when I've opened the peanut butter tub, no matter where she is in the house.
I end up hating most skin care but this is staying in my daily routine π it makes my skin look so healthy.
I'm heartbroken for her but I'm glad to see this awful disease getting some attention. I really hope that in the future it gets taken seriously, it doesn't take decades to get diagnosed and some treatments are made readily available.
I spent today in a stupor...
Last night, my MRI results came back
my disease is worse than I thought
The space between my uterus and rectum is almost completely sealed shut with scar tissue. Normally, this is an open pocket.
My uterus wall is the most affected⦠the endometriosis has grown all the way through the muscle wall, extending up to the top of the uterus.
My rectum and lower colon are tethered⦠pulled and stuck by adhesions where they meet.
Inside, I am twisted, contorted, scarred.
Earlier this week I was on the phone with my mum, asking her about her own previous menstrual cycles. I asked questions that no one had ever asked her⦠did she also have pain while defecating? Just how painful were her periods? A memory of my 13th birthday comes back⦠me finding her curled up on the couch, doubled over in pain.
I concluded that she, too, probably had endo.
She tried to explain that βback thenβ there just βwasnβt that much attention on female healthβ.
Funny, this is a line I still say today.
I thought about my future daughter⦠would she be repeating the same line in 30 years?
Oh.. can I even have a daughter?
Maybe not. Infertility affects 30 to 50% of women with endometriosis. My endo is likely stage 4 (the worst stage).
Thereβs so much to say on this topicβ¦
For now, all I know is this:
I have a slow-growing disease, which is very very burdensome to diagnose, and has been increasingly distorting my body for 8 yearsβ¦
It affects 1 in 10 women, likely more. 190 million people. And yet, most people donβt know about it.
So.. what do we do now?
Honestly, tonight, idk.
If youβd asked me yesterday, I would have told you all about our grand plan to cure my endo. Bryan and I have been cooking up a strategy with scientists around the world. But my results came back so much worse than I thought.
Tomorrow I am sure I will wake up, dust off the despair, and get back to work. The usual treatments (hormonal suppression and surgery) donβt cut it. Both suck. And neither is a cure.
So, tomorrow, weβll see what else is possible.
But tonight I grieve with millions of women.
Wow. I wish men like this got to experience even just a day of extreme period pain & fatigue.
