I want to thank everybody, Jewish and Non-Jewish, who has donated to Hatzola today.
Today has felt very grim, for obvious reasons, and this to me is a reminder of the many wonderful people that are out there too.
More than half a million raised for Hatzola NW within hours of firebomb ambulance attack

I can’t breathe.
I am heartbroken and outraged.
My friend, and colleague Rabbi Eli Schlanger of Chabad of Bondi was brutally murdered today simply for being Jewish, celebrating Judaism and leading his community during a Chanukah celebration.
Together with him, ten other precious souls, men, women, and children from his community were murdered in cold blood. Dozens are injured.
Rabbi Eli was one of the most joyful, creative and passionate young Jewish leaders in Australia. I deeply mourn for his family and the entire community.
This is an attack on every Jew and decent citizen in the world. We can not allow darkness and evil to prevail. We can not allow “Globalize the Intifada” to spread to cities across the globe.
Attend a Public Menorah lighting tonight wherever you are in the world and light a Menorah and place it in your window.
DM me if you need a Menorah
Here is a video that Rabbi Eli Schlanger posted lasted year on Chanukah in response to combating Jew hatred.

BREAKING: Another victim of the Sydney Chanukah party attack has been identified as Holocaust survivor Alex Kleytman.
Alex died saving his wife of five decades, Larissa. The elderly couple was celebrating with friends and family when the massacre began.
That is who the terrorists murdered: Holocaust survivors and children.

The Chanukah party at Bondi Beach was a family event.
Organized by Chabad of Bondi, it welcomed all ages and was held near the children’s playground.
Thousands attended, with their children, friends, or grandparents.
But that didn’t stop the terrorists. They didn’t care that children, the elderly, or non-Jews were present.
They saw an opportunity to kill as many Jews as possible. And they took it.
For two years, Australian Jews warned this could happen, and now the tragedy has proven their fears were real.

The high circulating levels of progesterone secreted by the placenta prevents there from being large volumes of milk at this stage.

Antenatal colostrum volumes bear no correlation with postnatal outcomes.
Some women choose to hand express colostrum during pregnancy as a 'back-up' for when their baby is born. Any colostrum removed from the breasts during pregnancy will be replaced, it does not 'run out'.
Chantal Ellis retweeted
These cause the alveolar epithelial cells within the breast to differentiate into lactocytes, which produce small volumes of colostrum.
Colostrum may spontaneously leak during pregnancy - this is of no clinical significance and patients can be reassured this is normal.

Lactogenesis I (or secretory differentiation) begins during pregnancy, and occurs in response to high levels of oestrogen, progesterone, prolactin and placental lactogen.

Lactation is a complex physiological function, dependent on a variety of organs, hormones, pathways and external triggers – much like the rest of our physiology! So, what do doctors need to know?
