Purpose built for finance means admins can set retention policy, control what happens to MNPI/sensitive info, limit what meetings get recorded, decide programmatically what meetings can get recorded, configure ai disclaimers, all the security like Soc 2, GDPR, etc etc. Kudos to the team for launching this and big shout out to @kunalvalrani @umerhaidr for their work at Arvo that helped propel this forward
Today, we're introducing Rogo Notes, the AI notetaker purpose-built for finance. Conversations are among the most valuable sources of firm knowledge, yet capturing and preserving meeting insight has long depended on manual note-taking and individual recollection. With Rogo Notes, agents handle meeting prep and follow-ups, teams collaborate from shared context, and every conversation deepens your firm’s understanding of the people, companies, and projects it works with. Rogo Notes was built to meet the regulatory standards of financial institutions, so firms never miss a valuable meeting insight again.

6 ex-bankers promoted to AE at Rogo. Right on cue!
Bankers make great <insert any profession>! In today's day and age where you can learn / do any thing with agents, the intangibles like being able to outwork someone or have high EQ is the biggest difference maker We're constantly hiring ex-bankers at Rogo :)

Why bankers make great sales reps “Bankers are programmed to work. The concept of a nine-to-five is completely foreign to these folks. They have intelligence, business acumen, and a lot of horsepower that is not always found when hiring for sales talent. Being able to call a CFO cold and say, ‘I just quit my job at Goldman TMT to join this credit card business,’ packed a very compelling punch for us.” @max11free Love to hear your thoughts @austinh___ @max11free @CharleyMa @morganjingram

Most people don't know the story of 40 investors passing on Rogo in the series A. There's a million more stories like this at Rogo every day. It's forged such an amazing group of people who are willing to "chew glass" as @GabeStengel describes it.
My conversation with Gabe Stengel (@GabeStengel), founder and CEO of Rogo. For years, Gabe and I have talked about how much of an investor's job AI will eventually do and how he is building Rogo toward that future. Today, Rogo helps some of the world's largest financial institutions research companies, run diligence and execute M&A. But Gabe's ambition is much bigger. He is building toward investing superintelligence, where Rogo does much of the work inside investment banks and firms and becomes the venue where they do their deals. It's a fascinating business and has been so fun watching Gabe build it. We discuss: - 10,000 agents searching for one great investment idea - Which investing skills will still matter - Why Anthropic/OpenAI won't win finance - "Chewing glass" - Why the harness around the models matters so much - Getting rejected by 40+ investors - Building an AI native Bloomberg - Becoming a black hole for talent Enjoy! TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 Intro 2:38 Building Rogo 6:12 10,000 AI Agents 12:02 Skills That Still Matter 17:31 Beating OpenAI and Anthropic 28:35 Bloomberg of the AI Era 37:37 Rogo’s Company Brain 44:19 Chewing Glass 53:34 AI-Native Finance 59:21 What Humans Still Do Better

Built a jev demo for finance Screens 10 teasers against investment criteria in 15.9 seconds for $0.0106
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

The most rewarding part of my job is helping leading financial institutions make AI useful in the real world and making sure we are a good partner to them. Every firm needs something different from a partner. But here are some problems we've worked on solving together: 1. Where is AI creating measurable value today and how are we capturing it? 2. Which workflows are consuming premium model capacity without when a cheaper model would suffice? 3. What does AI cost per live deal, and how does using AI in deals unlock higher deal volume? 4. Which of our agent workflows were built around older models and now need to be simplified? 5. When one team develops a repeatable advantage, how does it become institutional rather than remain within their team? 6. If a top performer left tomorrow, what critical knowledge, workflows, and judgment could we keep? 7. Can we prove sensitive information is governed appropriately and quickly identify when it is not? 8. How do we own more of model selection, data access, quality control, and adoption? 9. How do we prevent tool sprawl?
Today we're announcing a strategic investment in Rogo from Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citi Ventures, MUFG Innovation Partners, and Societe Generale — joining J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners and Truist Ventures among others. That brings Rogo’s strategic investors to nine global banks across New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo, representing nearly $20T in combined assets. Rogo now serves 50,000+ professionals across 350+ firms globally. Grateful to our clients, team, and investors for the conviction, and excited to keep building.

$6.5M in costs for being one of the top stories in the world for a few days (hundreds of millions of impressions) is actually pretty good. For comparison, its less than most Super Bowl ads... Probably actually cost them less than 6.5M too
"In the process of resolving the Navier–Stokes problem, the agents sent 2.7 million messages and used approximately 130 billion output tokens." 130B output tokens × $50/M = $6.5M in costs.

It's not just about getting screwed. Founders you can trust and stick to their word tend to attract more people like that, which get amplified in all parts of the business. So the org will end up with more trust with their customers, investors, vendors, and one another. Always play the long game.
Many startup employees do not recognize the sheer litany of ways that a founder can screw you over without you even knowing. Founder trust is one of the most important things to look at when you’re joining a startup. From cutting you out of M&A, screwing your retention pool, overdiluting your equity, firing you before your cliff, not having attractive options exercise plans, poor 409a price management, not telling you about QSBS / early exercise, blocking you from participating in secondary, obscuring company performance and many more. Many many decisions that are made in rooms you are not in as an employee where the only thing that matters is: “does the founder have your back?” Great startups with untrustworthy founders lead to poor outcomes and often good startups with trustworthy founders lead to great outcomes. Pick wisely.

When you’re 90% of the way there, you’re 50% of the way there
About 90% of what Town can do, you could technically build yourself in Claude with enough time. Out of the box though, if you connect Claude to your email, you get nothing close to Town. It's not even in the same ballpark. It doesn't write in your voice. It'll send an email when it's not supposed to. It doesn't really know how to manage your calendar. Now, could you sit there and write skills, build a bunch of workflows, and get Claude to approximate Town? Yeah. You could. It would take work. Not forever-work, but 3-4 hours to get started, and probably 30m a week just to keep things on-track. And you'd still be missing things like the draft email UI, the text messaging integration, WhatsApp, and how all of it works across your email and calendar. One of our users put this better than me. He tried Town after initially thinking he could recreate most of it himself in Claude: "Could I spend my time recreating most of the functionality myself? Perhaps. Would it be as good? No. Would it get the job done? Maybe." That's basically it. There's stuff we can do that you don't get out of the box with Claude. There's stuff in Claude that we don't do. Their artifacts are more flexible than ours. They just are. But then you get into the UI and the UX and how it's integrated with your phone and WhatsApp and your calendar and email. All those little details make it a very different product. If all you do is code or spreadsheets all day, Claude Code or Cowork is totally fine. If your work is in email and calendar, that's what we built Town for.

Unfortunately I’ve used Google sign up for most accounts and I’m just too scared to put my gmail password into grokbot right now Wishing I created individual passwords for all these accounts, because I’d 100% be ok putting in my Wispr Flow password…
