ok Ernest is out. it's the cheapest code review tools out there with a Senior Eng vibe for all the vibe coders and loopmaxxers (you know you are yoloing too much). there is a -50% discount for the launch. time to act on your bad behaviors guys to avoid those kind of security hole in your messy codebases 👇

man Im so bullish on this release as I know what they solve as Im daily trying to solve it on my side, for me, with Codex.
At HumanLayer, we’re on a mission to solve the AI slop code problem. In 2025 we open-sourced our Research, Plan, Implement framework, now deployed inside fortune 500s like Block and Uber - places where shipping slop is just not an option And that was just the beginning. Today, we’re opening access to HumanLayer - an Agentic IDE, collaboration platform, and building blocks for your software factory. HumanLayer enables engineers solving hard problems in complex codebases to: > move 2-3x faster across the entire SDLC (not just coding) > maintain rigorous standards for system architecture and program design Hundreds of engineers at companies of all sizes are already using HumanLayer to ship fast without sacrificing quality. I'm excited to invite you to try humanlayer today at humanlayer.com, and I'm even more excited to see what you build. @0xblacklight and I are deeply grateful to our team, our customers who give us so much incredible energy and feedback, our investors who have always been in our corner, and our friends and family who have supported us along this crazy journey if you're a staff or principal engineer trying to make AI coding work at scale for your team, we'd love to hear from you as @swyx likes to say - let's make this the year of no more slop

Database migrations are one of the easiest places for AI agents to be dangerous. The code can look correct, the tests can pass and still break your production database. Another great catch by Ernest. Operational consequences of a piece of code are important and that is the bar I care about for infrastructure agents and so Ernest. The real question is not if the agent can write infrastructure code. They can nowadays. But can they spot the quiet changes that turn into outages? Ernest is coming out of beta next week, you should consider trying it if you work on important software codebase that requires safety-critical.

AI helps us build faster but it should not make us forget 20 years of web security practice. Ernest caught a good example today

I have an infra cluster cleaner than some startups but I need users to make it worth it now. I need people to try to make it down 😏

Yes even GPT-5.5 High can do mediocre operations on your codebase. Modifying a past migration file with an already running database can be catastrophic... That's why you need Ernest to make sure the code you merge to your codebase is actually safe. Let's fight slop together.

Ernest is so good on finding deep issue in the code that could break your codebase for dumb reasons
