I'll be one of the speakers at this event with @WorkmanArtsTO tomorrow— online and free! I describe myself as 'always calm/always chaos.' If you can relate to that in your own creative process, I hope you'll find some catharsis in me sharing my experience as an artist with ADHD!

Our first amazing spotlight 🌟 for July is on artist, @chai. Zen is a writer & poet whose work sometimes is about simple observations, and other times explores frameworks for healing beyond history. We love her work! Read her full interview on our website: eastendarts.ca/july-east-end…

more south asian books where parents are actually in love, exchange smiles, sing old songs to each other, dance awkwardly & embarrass their children by being a cute couple instead of the common but overused trope of desi parents tied in an unhappy, compromising relationship.

Toronto spends 3.1 million dollars on policing a DAY. 1/3 of that figure alone could house/ pay the rent of over 80+ houseless people for over a year. But Toronto would rather criminalize people for being houseless in a park. One day of policing $ could house everyone there.
