The UCP promised to fix healthcare in 90 days. 3 CEO’s later, our healthcare system is worse off than ever before. Better is possible.

If the federal CTax is eliminated next year (as appears likely) and food prices *don’t* fall, what will those regularly claiming that the effect is massive say?

My thoughts on the potential stoppage on Canada's rail network. Like many Canadians, I am deeply concerned about the prospect of a work stoppage on our railroads starting this evening. A strike or lockout will have a devastating impact on workers and on the Canadian economy. Even a short disruption could take months to recover from. Prices could increase during an already-deep affordability crisis, and consumers could find it harder to get the products they need. The impact will be even greater in Alberta, as many of our exports require reliable rail transport to get to market. I’ve spent the last couple of days speaking with many folks with different perspectives on the dispute to better understand what’s happened and where we are. The best agreement is always a negotiated agreement, and I urge the parties to stay at the table in good faith and craft an agreement that keeps goods moving, and that ensures the safety of workers and of the communities that trains run through. Alberta’s New Democrats also urge the federal government to do everything in its power to help the parties stay at the table and make progress on a negotiated agreement. It’s also remarkably unhelpful for politicians to try and inflame the situation and make a negotiated settlement less likely as Premier Danielle Smith has done. Her call for back to work legislation nearly a week before any work stoppages could begin is not only likely illegal and unconstitutional, it shows a complete disregard for workers’ rights to make a deal with their employer and calls into question her ability to bargain ethically and in good faith. Albertans know that it’s possible to grow the economy while protecting good jobs; workers’ rights, and ensuring everyone’s safety. That’s what I believe in and I hope these values prevail. Let’s keep the trains on the tracks.

So, Canadian parents, just remember this... @pierrepoilievre doesn’t want to regulate social media companies to stop the spread of child pornography or self-harm algorithms or pedophile networks , but instead prefers to let these social media companies do what they want in interest of...free speech? He's more concerned if your kid wants to be called Samantha vs Sam than actually protecting them from predators on the Internet. These social media companies are raking in the profits, while repeatedly getting caught exploiting our kids. These social media companies can afford to put guardrails in place. Our police departments do not have the bandwidth to tackle this out-of-control digital crisis. These social media companies do. A reminder... 79% of sextortion incidents occurred on Instagram or Snapchat - Cybertip.ca Instagram’s recommendation algorithms are promoting pedophile networks - The Verge Among teens who reported suicidal thoughts, 13% of British users and 6% of American users traced the desire to kill themselves to Instagram - WSJ The Online Harms Act is a step in the right direction and I'm disgusted - as the parent of a young teen, an online safety author, and Canadian - that @CPC_HQ is choosing to make our kids LESS SAFE online. "Online harms against minors, victims must be criminalized, not regulated: Poilievre" ottawa.citynews.ca/2024/02/2…

Funny how Norway got the heritage fund idea from us, it's worth over a TRILLION DOLLARS now and they've had one of the most generous social welfare states in the world while it got to that number. I guess socialists are just better at managing money. thenarwhal.ca/norway-s-oil-s…

If Justin Trudeau makes a statement and it pisses off people like Elon, Jordan Peterson, Alex Jones and Joe Rogan then you know the statement was accurate and factual.

This will be back to $2100/month under a Poilievre government
For what it’s worth, my sister-in-law (who is a single mother of two kids under 5) went from $2100/mth in daycare to $800/mth thanks to $10/day child care. That’s an extra $1300 going back into our economy every month. #IStandWithTrudeau

For folks saying “Smith is right to stop gender reassignment surgery for kids under 18” the truth is this kind of surgery is NOT being done on kids under 18. The question people SHOULD be asking is: “why is Smith making such a big deal out of something that’s not happening?”
Is what "they're" saying on the internet true? Are little kids REALLY having gender reassignment surgery in Alberta? Dr. Kate Greenaway brings 20+ years of experience to our #RealTalkRoundTable. 📺 FULL: rtrj.info/020224RTRT 🎧 FULL: rtrj.info/020224 #abpoli #ableg

Big announcement this morning. Albertans have seen enough. The Smith government clearly has no intention of engaging in an honest conversation about their proposed APP. The AFL is stepping up to help organize a broad, civil society “Remain”‘campaign. action.afl.org/press-release…

Freedom of expression extends to protect you from the persecution of the government. A professional association, and their terms and conditions of accreditation, are not Charter issues. Peterson is free to leave the College at anytime and express himself beyond their conditions.

So a law that requires tech giants to pay for their share in the advertising revenue from Canadian content, that in 2021 The CPC ran on, and The LPC passed with help of The CPC this year, is now called government censorship by The CPC? What?

It’s your willful ignorance that breaks my heart. You don’t care about what is true and you most certainly do not care about our country’s children. Every day you say what you think you need to to survive. You’re drowning in service to your ego. You have not improved a single struggling child’s life.
Senator J.D. Vance just introduced my bill, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, in the U.S. Senate. Every Republican in Congress should sign on as a cosponsor to this important legislation. We must end the genital mutilation of kids! Thank you, JD! Read more: dailycaller.com/2023/07/18/s…
