Teachers shape the nation. They teach, guide, and inspire the children who will become tomorrow’s leaders. This Week, we celebrate teachers in Uganda & beyond and call for greater investment in those shaping our future. To every teacher, thank you.

It is always a joy to have Dr. Ann Hayes visit us in Uganda. Her reconnecting with the girls she supported through school is monumental.
A beautiful full-circle moment reconnecting with Dr. Ann Hayes of @cgc_uganda and fellow CGC girls.
CGC supported my education and believed in me before I had much to show. That investment shaped my passion for women and girls.
Today, I carry it forward by investing in others.
Imagine preparing for a school day and realizing you cannot go because you have your period.
For some girls, this is not an imagination.
CGC advocates for access to SRH information and WASH because these are part of the environment girls need to remain in school.

📚 Today is #InternationalLiteracyDay under the theme: “Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity.”
Literacy is a foundation for education, opportunity, and empowerment.
When girls are given the chance to learn, they are better equipped to shape their own futures and contribute to their communities.

Our children are our responsibility, and ensuring their safety and well-being should be our top priority. Thank you, Hon. Minister of State for Youth & Children Affairs @MercyLakiskis, for this swift and decisive action.

Today in kawempe : Hon. Minister of State for Youth & Children Affairs @MercyLakiskis intercepted an overloaded school bus 💪
A 29-seater carrying 70+ students.
Vehicle impounded. Students returned to school safely. Permits cancelled.
To schools, drivers, and parents:Please put child safety first. Do not overload. Do not gamble with lives.
To the public: Let’s all be watchdogs. If you see reckless transport, report it to authorities immediately.
Our children deserve to get to school safely.

A girl should never have to choose between her dignity & her dreams because of her period.” On this #MenstrualHygieneDay, this message from our ED, Marjorie Sseruwo, reminds us that menstrual health is not just about hygiene; it is about dignity & equal opportunity for every girl
This #MenstrualHygieneDay, we stand for every girl whose education, confidence, & future are affected by period poverty & stigma. No girl should miss school, suffer in silence, or feel ashamed because of menstruation.
