The absolute BEST Author Fest lunch with author @lindsayncurrie and all of our Lester Young Authors! #LEchoosesHAPPY #dg58pride
Soaking up every minute with author @nchurnin. First Graders have fun learning a few new words in sign language. #LEchoosesHAPPY
Our final day of Author Fest was epic! @lindsayncurrie brought the spooky to Lester and we couldn’t get enough! Thank you for such an inspiring presentation. We’re already counting down the days until your next book comes out! #LEchoosesHAPPY
Day two of Author Fest with @nchurnin was everything! Nancy celebrated Dashrath Manjhi and challenged our First Grade students to think about how they can move mountains. We are so grateful for you. Thank you for sharing these incredible stories with us. #LEchoosesHAPPY
No better way to kick off Author Fest than with @brosenstock! We got a behind the scenes look at her Mystery of the Monarchs book and the amazing Fred Urquhart that discovered where the Monarchs go. We love you, your books, and the time we got to spend with you! #LEchoosesHAPPY
We had the very best morning with @KateMessner! A big shoutout to @AndersonsBkshp for this incredible visit. Be sure to checkout Kate’s new History Smashers book, Earth Day. #LEchoosesHappy #dg58learns

Over $1,000 raised by our incredible LE leopards, over 200 blankets purchased from @boh_nonprofit, and the incredible opportunity to help those in need. So grateful for this experience with our Sixth Graders. #LEchoosesHAPPY #dg58pride
What a way to end our Sixth Grade kindness service learning project! Students write and attach notes to warm blankets for people in need in our community. Thank you @boh_nonprofit for such an amazing experience. #LEchoosesHAPPY #dg58learns

Our Sixth Grade kindness service learning project was taken to the next level this morning. We had the most amazing time at @fmsc_org making meals for those in need. I’m proud of our LE Leopards for the kindness and care they showed this morning. #LEchoosesHAPPY #dg58pride

When you practice finding books in the library but make it into a game and add a wheel of chance at the end! I love my LE students and the energy, excitement, and teamwork they brought to this challenge. #LEchoosesHAPPY #dg58learns
LE Sixth Graders started a service learning project today with @boh_nonprofit and I could not be more excited! #LEchoosesHAPPY #dg58learns
Just when I thought this week couldn’t get any better I received the kindest email from one of my families about Author Fest. I love my job and the opportunity to help my students love books and amazing authors. Thank you PTA Council of @DGDistrict58 for such a special week!
