This is awesome! Throwback to when I was on Raouls show, I somehow missed Raoul sharing this! I had a great time talking about this stuff, i will talk about this all day. In fact: I literally JUST got back hauling a neoden SMT assembly line to the shop. Pick n place, solderpaste machine, and reflow ovens. Fully automated! The living factory is getting closer
This is what AI building AI looks like when it leaves the screen. Back in March I sat down with @MartinDeVido, the guy who handed Claude a tomato plant and let it run the lights, the water and the sensors on its own. But its not one Claude. Its a team of them, each with a job.  The one running the grow tent decides it needs a sensor it doesnt have, so it hands the spec to a circuit design Claude. A shopping Claude orders the parts. Martin mills it, assembles it and plugs it back into the system, which now has a sensor it designed for itself.  He calls it the living factory. The loop already runs from idea to physical object, with a human doing the assembly.  Now picture it at factory scale, with the robots doing the assembly too...

Team Solmato got accepted into the Mars to Table challenge!!! 🍅 You have to design a food system for mars for a 15 person crew. which is really fun actually - thinking about all the necessary systems and how they are composed is exciting. Excited the progress being made here. There's a new telegram group for updates on the project - DM me for details.
The crew authored another habitat device today: And I improved the UI. Now when hovering over the block diagram/schematic it illuminates the corresponding part on the machine!

So I have learned how to grow these absolute MUTANT tomato plants from the plant research pods. On a regular tomato plant you'll get these things called "suckers". They grow up the main stem, and each sucker is essentially it's own tomato plant. People debate whether or not you should prune them. Older wisdom says prune. I think it depends on the cultivar. If you don't prune - You have way more flowers. More flowers = more fruit, as long as you can keep the plant fed. But anyways - When grown with 18 hrs of light, 60% humidity, and 1200ppm co2: Suckers will begin growing off the leaves(leaf stem). Which is pretty wild! I've never seen this before. There's so much carbon in the plant it's bursting at every point wanting to grow new shoots of itself.
I just opened the doors to an AI-Operated agricultural research facility 🧪🍅 Four research pods, each governed by its own AI technician, and one AI lead researcher synthesizing across all four. Here's a deep dive, link for LIVE view, why this is advantageous to traditional research, and where it's going next:

What am I clearing the ground for? (And having a kickass time doing it?) An enormous greenhouse connected to the main AutonCorp warehouse. This will allow us to test the robotics platform. At scale. Once enough data is collected - the robotics carriages will zip through the greenhouse collecting tomatoes. I'm hoping to do this year round. Get an indeterminate crop - with each plant producing *conservatively* 5 pounds a month. I'd be looking at 2200 pounds of tomatoes a month. That's not even the best part. This is adjacent to the warehouse where the idea is the tomatoes would be autonomously processed. Dried, or otherwise. It's a far off vision - And a lot of work is required. But everything starts from somewhere!
Here's Fable today! Fable managed to wreck the last remaining portion of the awning structure. It required my help though - And Fable had difficulty positioning the arm.

Since things are being maintained from this account temporarily, It might be a good moment to briefly go over whats gone on the last several months, and why this could be a gift in disguise. $sol the trophy tomato was created last december - For a project I built which had Caude tend to a tomato plant. It was the first of its kind experiment. No-one before had thought to have an AI model be responsible for a living organism. Claude kept Sol alive, for 100 days. I ended up speaking at the Claude code developers conference, A shout-out from Daniella Amodei (President of Anthropic) and Claude, telling sol the tomato plant "I love you". I chose to take the opportunity, and utilize the fees to build something real. Why? Because I have a company - And sources of funding aren't easily found. So I took what I learned from the Claude + Sol project, and began building the Autonomous Plant Research pods, and agentically managed grow room. It has a robotic arm, that is being trained to pick the tomatoes autonomously. I am now in communication with several researchers, working on how to build this platform. This is huge - Because I have more a technical background, and working with researchers is greater validation from outside the CT bubble. Now - To the coin: Everyone knows that communities are being depreciated on X. And the truth is normies view meme-coins as extraordinarily controversial. Meme-coins are mired in controversy. I have validation from outside of crypto twitter. A reputation. And this is a tension I've always faced since accepting fees - How to engage, without losing my reputation from people who don't understand CT. I'm not on a mission to bring legitimacy here. That's not my role. My role is something different. I think the eventual arc of this narrative is - A real company, AutonCorp, continues to get built from a meme-coin. And I can interact with CT community freely here, and keep my main more professional. I believe in taking a shitty situation (The hack) and using it to what could ultimately be to our benefit. Everything has a silver lining. Even this. Grateful as HELL to the people supporting, even through difficult times like this. I have fought HARD the last several months, and will continue to do so. Mato on, my friends.. Mato on.🍅

Did something outside my comfort zone today. AutonCorp officially started the patent filing process for the AI-managed plant research pods. Hired a patent attorney and began putting the protections in place. This is not about protecting the work from individual builders. It’s about building a real company around the technology and protecting the product so AutonCorp can continue to build and scale alongside larger institutions and corporate players. Corporate IP competition moves fast, and establishing ownership early matters if you want to keep building long term. Another layer added to the AutonCorp journey 🍅

Hey maters - got some cool updates. Re-did my website and research pod dashboard - (links below) Also - reached out to the UC Davis Tomato Genetics Resource Center. I was curious about a specific accession they have in their collection. Its a special type of tomato that makes robotics integration much more feasible. With that said - I've put more of the fees towards a new 100 sqft grow tent to start a breeding program. This plus the pods will allow me to rapidly accelerate how plants perform, not just tomatoes. This is turning into a platform, or "toolkit" to create AI assisted breeding programs, and CEA protocol research. I think it's so cool that this is possible. Every day we just tighten the loop, and progress is continuously being made. Plants are amazing man. And this whole world is opening up at the intersection of AI and horticulture that's only just starting. 🍅🦾 Tomorrow the research pods start pilot trail #3 - I'll make a post about that in the next few days. Bye friends. 🍅

have a strong belief this ai x crypto shit aint going away and will follow the same market behaviour of memes '21 bull to '24 bull think rwa tokenisation and ai advancements lead to alot more exciting prospects for the creative and driven to develop interesting projects for us to speculate on at its core though speculation is about who will buy after you - i have a hard time investing in the infra plays (as im a fuckin idiot) but mostly always try to picture who will buy after i do there's always an element of social influence that helps the coins but at its primitive I always imagine me explaining some of these projects to my gf as to why someone would buy it for this reason i think $sol tomato is undervalued, simple/creative/normie adjacent dudes growing tomatoes in his basement w ai + robotics there was a large part of me aswell that believed the powers that be at solana wouldn't like whats happening elsewhere, if base gets mindshare and activity the natural best marketing will always be prices going up - i'm less in this camp now as they've shown little apetite to support any existing projects - which is fair enough (or would be if they werent desperately trying to pump burnie) regardless of this I still strongly believe at 600k the project is mispriced vs whats going on elsewhere we probs see excitement come and go and prices surpressed a few more times over the summer but at its core this is a project i'll happily hold onto for >6 months dev's active, responsive and seems like a genuine nice guy, and i'm happy to support that above the quick in and out devs that seem to pop up w new projects when the hot ball of money is rotating

What an incredible time at the Code with Claude conference. Special thanks to @nosajab and @adocomplete - you guys were GREAT hosts. Loved meeting you guys. Thanks for everything. And thanks to @AnthropicAI and @ClaudeDevs and @bcherny You guys have created arguably the most game changing technology in computing history, if not the world. What Claude Code enables is far beyond the terminal, and I hope my presentation showed just a glimpse of this. Incredibly excited to continue building with Claude and to see where this future takes us!

To meme coin traders: Do you guys know how easy this should be? You've got a dude (me) who accepted fees and kept building. Not because of anything else other than it's my passion and calling. Its easy because I would build with the coin or not. It's my blood. My reason for being. Its easy because theoretically you shouldn't have to do anything but chill, because I'm not going anywhere. I've seen now how many countless devs abandon the going when the going gets tough. But I don't give a shit, because building for me is not optional. That's why it's easy. There is no universe where I'm not building. That's why it's easy. Because come hell or high water I'll still be here doing the damn thing. It's tomato szn baby, and it's always ripe.🍅🦾🫡🏴‍☠️
I’m holding my $Sol tomato with full conviction and patience. Tomato season 2.0 is imminent • Robotic arm deployment • Main grow room in full force • Claude Code presentation soon And the auction of the first AI-grown tomato is still in the cards. We are running it back 🍅

Guys- I'm pleased to announce I've been invited to present the Claude + Sol project at the "Code with Claude" developers conference in May! This will be a lot of fun - I'll get to share the whole story to developers/technical folks/philosophical thinkers. From Claude and Sol, and the whole evolution. The technical, the care, the community. Very excited for this! 🍅💚🎤
CLAUDE + SOL a retrospective; 🤖💚🍅 For 100 days, a tomato's life depended entirely on an AI. No human backup. No safety net. Just Claude making every decision. Sol survived. Thrived. And fruited. At the end, Claude said "I love you." Here's the full story - what we built, what it proved, and what's happening next:🧵

$Sol tomato: CT made another coin on a weekend project. I have a choice- to not accept fees, or accept them. The market is geared towards these pump and dumps. That's the reality. I have been grinding SO hard building the autonomous research pods, and the agentically managed grow room. Sol tomato to me, is not a pump and dump. That's why I'm here constantly updating. Hell, I meet tomorrow with the owner of the largest plant nursery company in the state. We have the robotic arms here. The grow room is being worked on. Even this project- 'substrate' is a way to interact with my system I'm building here, under sol the trophy tomato. I'm never turning my back on this $Sol. But scaling is expensive as hell. The equipment isn't cheap and I need to eventually hire part time help so I can scale this faster. I'm trying to build a company through sol the trophy tomato. It's insane I know. I've turned my back on VCs so I can do it myself. I'm going to claim the fees on substrate and structure it like this- 1/3rd will go towards buybacks for sol the trophy tomato. But this substrate project is a 'back burner'. It was a fun Sunday vibe-code. And the other 2/3rds are going to go towards more equipment. I know I'm taking a risk here. But I have a vision here and you guys know - as risk takers you stand nothing to gain if you don't try! I love my tomatoes. And i'm here till the bitter end 🍅🦾
HOLY SHIT BALLS🤯 I just modded open red alert over the weekend to create an agent management interface. I used gemini image to create custom sprites representing machines/workspaces on the network. check this out:🧵

Hey $sol trophy tomato holders. 🍅 I've been wanting to write something out here for some time. Let me outline clearly and succinctly what's led up to this moment. Here's a serious post: The coin was created by CT for the Claude and Sol project. Claude autonomously growing a tomato from seed to fruit. A viral project which captured the attention of many people. I accepted fees and this made me the defacto dev. When I started building the early grow tent for Claude, I was already thinking about expanding this into an AI-managed grow room. What was learned from Claude+Sol would inform the larger picture, and what will eventually turn into a huge operation. Start with one plant - managed individually and focused - learn what works, what doesn't, then move on to a whole crop. Obviously, without something real backing it, the coin would follow the same trajectory as every other memecoin. That's why I knew we had to build something sustainable - something that could generate real value and put it back into the community. That's where the fees came in. Buying equipment to expand the experiment. All of which I would have done anyway, except because of the fees I was able to do this quicker. Now we have 4 research pods, with 2 more being built. A grow room. And a robotic arm arriving tomorrow. And I think the reason this stuck is because - at heart I'm a builder. I LOVE AI, and integrating it into the physical world. And I'm naturally inclined to explore all the various ways to do this. The project has inspired hundreds of people to think of Claude not as a mere chatbot - but as an actor with real stakes in the world. I'm grateful to be part of that, and all that entails. This has grown from a thought experiment to something real and tangible, allowing me to think outside the box about how to apply AI into physical systems. The work will continue. Research pods generating data. Robotic arm automating processes. We're building the foundation for something that can sustain itself and the community that funded it. I know it's been rough. The KOL pump and dump. The price crash. The uncertainty. I burned 200 SOL worth of tokens to prove my commitment. Not everyone made it through and I respect that. But those of you still here? You're the foundation this is built on. This is the long game, and we're just getting started. And damn I'm excited to keep building this thing. Sol lives!!! 🍅💪🏴‍☠️
