We appreciated spending time with members of the U.S. Coast Guard yesterday! We gave them for a tour of our Western Filter Plant and visited their campus at the former site of Birmingham-Southern College.

Today kicked off a two-day cybersecurity training event welcoming more than 100 water and wastewater professionals, technology leaders and cybersecurity experts from across Alabama. The goal: work through real-world scenarios, understand the latest cybersecurity threat environment and consider how we will respond if those attacks come here. We are proud to co-host today's exercise with @CentralALWater, @alruralwater and our partners at the Alabama Office of IT. Special thanks to our friends at @CISAgov who shared their best-practices. Here's a recap of an impactful day one: caw-al.gov/water-utilities-p…

We’re putting the finishing touches on the project at Lake Purdy Dam. Crews recently applied hydroseed behind the left training wall and other areas around the site. Hydroseeding is a planting method that involves spraying a mixture of grass seed, mulch, water and fertilizer.
