People ask why I teach. These 2 photos are my answer. College students give me hope. Good thing, cause there's so much work still to do.
Highly encourage everyone to put a small sticky note over the video feed of themselves. Makes a huge difference!

All 6 may be true ... but strange not to consider how effects--public health and otherwise--of a(nother, bigger) surge as a result of re-opening would impact public opinion, social movements, and voting. 🤷♀️🤔

Way to focus on the important things @bopinion. I know most students really come to class for my outfits and hairstyle. 🙄

If August rolls around and colleges and universities remain shuttered, it doesn’t mean that they can’t operate.
But college students aren’t going to want to shell out $50,000 a year to watch their haggard-looking professor on Zoom trib.al/blCxQz3
All I can say about this is the definition of "complete jerk" must be regionally specific. Because I would classify this email as "a little cranky, understandably." Which is also how I would classify this tweet. 🤷🏼♀️

When you've had 12 advising appointments in 2 days, it's the 3rd to last week of the semester, & 4- & 7-year old are home w/you, you might dump defrosted container of tomato sauce on leftover pasta. Then realize it's pumpkin. And just eat it anyway. 🤷♀️😂🙄

It took me a solid year of kind days to get to this point w/ neighbors. Every shift. Connect. Care. Then do it again tomorrow. We are the most short-cut loving grand gesture loving country and it backfires. There’s no short cut. Just do the right thing right now. Then do it again
I am so grateful for @jamiattenberg 's #1000wordsofsummer. Finally transcribed & combined all the writing I generated during her #1000wordsofsummer in 2019. During those two weeks, I wrote 29,498 words, not all of which are terrible. I encourage anyone curious to sign up & do it!
Thank you @ShanePaulNeil. Heartfelt and heartbreaking. ❤️💔

Those of who regularly telework don't use Zoom and we all pleaded that most of you new to teleworking not use Zoom because it can be compromised easily.
Use Google Meet/Hangout, Uberconference, or Maestro instead and hold your meetings in peace.

Time for my daily affirmation tweet:
DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
Don’t let anyone shame you into “reflecting, pondering, thinking, considering” X.
Your goal is to survive today. Do whatever it takes for you to get to that point.
Tomorrow, we’ll see.
