I'm privileged to be the Engineers Without Borders faculty advisor. These amazing students partner with communities to provide safe drinking water and sanitation services. Please consider joining me in donating to their annual Crowdfund initiative.
Honored to have received this award. It's energizing to work at an institution and with colleagues who are motivated to make meaningful social change. (Also, it was cool to see @mistyonpointe)
Congratulations, Colleen! You are an inspiration to women in STEM everywhere.

We see a lot of applicants write about taking care of siblings or working a part-time job in their PIQs, but not putting that in the extracurricular activities section. You SHOULD also put this info in the extracurricular activities section! It adds value and context.

I'll soon be sharing undergrad (REU Summer 22) & Ph.D. student (Fall 22) opportunities in engineering education with ME! If you know any prospective students, please encourage them to connect: jwaisome@eng.ufl.edu. Funded projects involve K-12 teacher self-efficacy & more!
One of the skills I did not learn in elementary school was how to use chalk without getting it all over my clothes.
Everyone can definitely tell which days I teach this quarter.

I enjoy JFK at 1am. It feels so peaceful as it goes into night mode. Still pulsing but breathing more deeply. Feeling reflective.

On racial and social justice in engineering:
It "stings" when faculty do not take time to reflect/open dialogue on
Currently a lack of consistency in how engineering faculty incorporate into classrooms/programs - creates unclear expectations for students;
