All that we do in the temple is tied directly to the Lord Jesus Christ. Here we can become more holy, more like the Savior.   As a new Apostle of the Lord in 2017, I was grateful to visit this wonderful country. Sister Rasband and I were overjoyed to return this weekend as I fulfilled an assignment from the First Presidency to dedicate the Managua Nicaragua Temple.   Attending the temple is a deeply personal experience. One by one we present ourselves at the entrance and are invited into the Lord’s house.   One by one we receive ordinances and make covenants. One by one we may feel lifted, reminded, and renewed in our spiritual journey, receiving greater hope, and strength from the Atonement of Jesus Christ.   Go often to the temple, let its light bless your whole life.   As an Apostle of Jesus Christ called to testify of Him and His name in all the world, I bear my solemn witness that He lives, and is directing the work of the ongoing Restoration.   Stay close to Him, and show your love by spending time in His hallowed house.

The covenants and ordinances of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ are spiritual credentials that can open wide the heavenly windows of opportunity to receive in our lives divine purpose, direction, and strength. They provide the opportunity for promised blessings, which require ongoing faithfulness. The Holy Ghost is also described in scripture as the Holy Spirit of Promise who ratifies or confirms as acceptable to God the righteous acts of His children. Thus, ordinances and covenants must be sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise to be binding on earth and in heaven. Just as you need an authorized stamp on a passport to enter a foreign country, so each of us needs the verifying witness of the Holy Spirit of Promise in order for us to receive the eternal blessings associated with the covenants and ordinances of the Savior’s gospel. Receiving this ratifying sealing by the Holy Ghost typically is not a one-time event; rather, it comes over time as we repent sincerely and consistently, honor our covenants, and yield our hearts unto God. Each of us should ever be grateful for sacred opportunities to “walk in all the ordinances of the Lord” (Doctrine and Covenants 136:4) and to receive by the Holy Spirit of Promise, “in process of time,” (Moses 7:21) the ratifying seal that guarantees all promised blessings. #GeneralConference

You might reasonably wonder why a loving and all-powerful God allows our mortal test to be so hard. It is because He knows that we must grow in spiritual cleanliness and stature to be able to live in His presence. My wise mother taught me this when I was a little boy. I had asked her, “Mother, why is life so hard?” She smiled and said firmly, “Hal, of course it’s hard. It’s supposed to be. Life is a test.” Years later I realized that as she spoke these words to me, she was passing through tests of her own and rising up through a lifetime of terrible medical trials. But, because she knew the words “Fear not, I am with thee,” were true, the Lord’s promise was fulfilled for her. We know that the Lord will comfort all of those who try to follow Him. And He offers us the great blessing and trust to help Him keep His promise to succor Heavenly Father’s children in their tests along their mortal journey toward home. #GeneralConference Used with permission. When I read the scriptures, I’m impressed with how much of the Savior’s work has to do with bringing people peacefully together. The people during His earthly ministry were divided in a dozen different ways—culturally, politically, religiously. When you think about it, it wasn’t so different from our world today. But the Savior of the world, the Son of God, transcended worldly boundaries and divisions. He gathered people from different walks of life and asked them to serve together in positions of trust. He ministered to the poor and rich alike. And today He continues to invite all to come unto Him. In the Savior’s Church, it is not our political views, culture, or personal interests that unite us. It is our love for God and neighbor. It is our commitment to our covenants with Jesus Christ and to His restored gospel. We are “one in Christ” (Galatians 3:28). Jesus Christ has the power to change us, purify us, and unite us. The closer we come to Him, the closer we will come to each other—and the closer we will come to the unity He wants for us. I testify that the more united in Christ we are and the more we desire to build bridges instead of walls, the more our individual lives, our families, our communities, and our nations will experience God’s presence and supernal blessings. Wherever you are, I invite you to join the Christ-centered unity we are trying to build. It would be incomplete without you. Please, come and see, come and help, and come and belong. #GeneralConference

Muslim parents "demanded" a ban on pork at a school in a city in the Netherlands. The mayor of that place responded with wise words! "Muslims must understand that they must adapt to the Netherlands, their customs, their traditions, their way of life, because it was the country they chose to emigrate to. They must understand that they are the ones who must integrate and learn to live in the Netherlands. They must understand that they are the ones who must change their lifestyle, not the Dutch. You must understand that the Dutch are not racist or xenophobic. We accept many immigrants, from many countries with different cultures and religions, which are Islamic countries that do not accept non Islamic immigrants. Therefore, the Dutch are not willing to give up their identity and their culture. In conclusion, they must understand that in the Netherlands, with their Jewish Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches, and religious parties, the religion must remain in the Netherlands. For Muslims who disagree with the Dutch culture and religion and do not feel comfortable in the Netherlands, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries around the world, most of them populated and ready to receive them with open arms, according to the sharia. If you leave your country to come to the Netherlands, and not to a Muslim country, it is because you have seen a better life in the Netherlands than where you come from. THIS IS THE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE COMING IN THAT ARE THEIR TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRIES! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT? GO HOME!

SOME OF YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS: President Trump is the President. He is not your personal financial manager. It's not President Trump's fault that you: • Bought a $70K truck on an 84-month loan you couldn't afford. • Carry $15K in credit-card debt buying wants instead of needs. • DoorDash dinner while complaining groceries are expensive. • Upgrade your $1,200 phone every two years. • Pay for 7 subscriptions you barely use. • Took a mortgage at the absolute limit the bank would approve. • Spend thousands every year on alcohol, vaping, gambling or other habits. • Take vacations on credit and pay for them for the next 18 months. • Never built an emergency fund when times were good. • Increased your lifestyle every time your income increased instead of building assets. Yes, housing is expensive. Groceries are expensive. Insurance is expensive. Healthcare is expensive. Government policy matters. But PERSONAL DECISIONS matter too. No President can sign an Executive Order fixing 20 years of your financial habits. Sometimes Washington needs accountability. Sometimes the person in the mirror does too.

Douglas Murray: “What happened in the skies above Saudi Arabia on Wednesday morning stands as a metaphor for three years of war. The Israelis saw an existential threat, took matters into their own hands, and decided their own course. The rest of the West will have to decide whether it will follow the Israeli model or let its own future be dictated by terror and the hijacking of its entire society.”

Dear Retarded Ana Kasparian, You just made his argument for him, but hilariously you’re too stupid to see it. By your own admission, a total of 3,600 tons of explosives were dropped on Dresden. And those 3,600 tons equaled approximately 25,000 deaths. Now let’s do Gaza. 223,000 tons of explosives were dropped on Gaza, and yet it only equaled 72,000 deaths. That’s literally ONE SINGLE DEATH for every THREE TONS of explosives dropped! Whereas with Dresden, there were SEVEN people killed for every ONE TON of explosives dropped. Think about it… Gaza: 1 death per 3 tons of explosives. Dresden: 7 deaths per 1 ton of explosives. If Israel was actually trying to commit genocide, then they are, in fact, the absolute worst, most incompetent people at committing it in all human history. Thank you, Ana, for being stupid enough to not recognize that you’ve just proven that Israel has NOT committed any form of genocide whatsoever. Bravo! 👏🏻 Sincerely, An American Christian Zionist
3,600 tons of explosives were dropped onto Dresden... The Israelis dropped 223,000 tons onto Gaza and the bombings continue on tent encampments today. This hog thinks he's making a good argument.

All throughout the Bible, God spoke to His prophets. This excerpt comes from a speech by Hugh B. Brown given at BYU. "In 1939, before the outbreak of World War II, Brother Brown was invited by a member of England’s House of Commons to present a legal argument for Brother Brown’s claim that Joseph Smith was a prophet. President Brown described their conversation: I began … , “You say that my belief that God spoke to a man in this age is fantastic and absurd?” “To me it is.” “Do you believe that God ever did speak to anyone?” “Certainly, all through the Bible we have evidence of that.” “Did He speak to Adam?” “Yes.” “To Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Joseph, and on through the prophets?” “I believe He spoke to each of them.” “Do you believe that contact between God and man ceased when Jesus appeared on the earth?” “No, such communication reached its climax, it's apex, at that time.” “Do you believe, sir, that after Jesus was resurrected, a certain lawyer—who was also a tentmaker by the name of Saul of Tarsus—when on his way to Damascus talked with Jesus of Nazareth, who had been crucified, resurrected, and had ascended into heaven?” “I do.” “Whose voice did Saul hear?” “It was the voice of Jesus Christ, for He so introduced Himself.” “Then, I am submitting to you in all seriousness that it was standard procedure in Bible times for God to talk to man.” “I think I will admit that, but it stopped shortly after the first century of the Christian era.” “Why do you think it stopped?” “I can’t say.” “You think that God hasn’t spoken since then?” “I am sure He hasn’t.” “There must be a reason. Can you give me a reason?” “I do not know.” “May I suggest some possible reasons? PERHAPS GOD DOES NOT SPEAK TO MAN ANYMORE BECAUSE HE CANNOT. HE HAS LOST THE POWER.” He said, “Of course that would be blasphemous.” “Well, then, if you don’t accept that, PERHAPS HE DOESN'T SPEAK TO MEN BECAUSE HE DOESN'T LOVE US ANYMORE AND HE IS NO LONGER INTERESTED IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN." “No,” he said, “God loves all men, and He is no respecter of persons.” “Well, then, if He could speak, and if He loves us, then THE ONLY OTHER POSSIBLE ANSWER, as I see it, IS THAT WE DON'T NEED HIM. We have made such rapid strides in science and we are so well educated that we don’t need God anymore.” And then he said—and his voice trembled as he thought of impending war—“Mr. Brown, there never was a time in the history of the world when the voice of God was needed as it is needed now. Perhaps you can tell me why He doesn’t speak.” My answer was: “HE DOES SPEAK, He has spoken; but men need faith to hear Him.” (End) We believe that we do have a prophet on the earth today, and that God does speak to us through him. The world is in such turmoil and confusion right now, we need God more than ever in our lives!! I am so grateful to know that we will NEVER be left alone to find our way! God loves and STILL speaks to His children through LIVING prophets! 6 MORE DAYS!!!!! #HearHim

Meritocracy isn't the problem. It's the solution. And the fact that both parties are now moving toward wholesale rejection of meritocracy spells the end of American innovation, freedom, and strength.

Victor Davis Hanson is not Jewish. He is a renowned American classicist, military historian, author, and senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution - making his fact-based defense of Israel all the more significant. In one of his recent interviews, Hanson gave a fascinating analysis of four accusations repeatedly made against Israel - apartheid, settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, and genocide. His conclusion was clear: These slogans collapse when confronted with historical facts. Apartheid? Approximately two million Arab citizens live in Israel with the right to vote, serve in parliament, study at universities, practice their religion, and participate throughout Israeli society. Meanwhile, many of the countries accusing Israel of apartheid officially privilege Islam and severely restrict religious conversion, minority communities, and basic freedoms. Settler colonialism? The Jewish connection to the land of Israel is supported by nearly 4,000 years of historical, archaeological, linguistic, and biblical evidence. The Jewish people did not arrive in their ancestral homeland as foreign colonizers. They returned to the land from which foreign empires had repeatedly expelled them. Meanwhile, Arab armies conquered enormous portions of the Middle East and North Africa. The Ottoman conquest transformed Hagia Sophia - once the greatest church in Christendom - into a mosque. Yet those historical conquests are rarely described as settler colonialism. Ethnic cleansing? Where were the demonstrations when Turkey expelled Greeks from northern Cyprus and moved Turkish settlers into the occupied territory? Where was the outrage when Azerbaijan drove more than 100,000 Armenians from their ancestral homes in Nagorno-Karabakh? Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Zohran Mamdani were remarkably quiet. Genocide? When Israel was established, approximately 170,000 Arabs remained within the country. Today, around two million Arab citizens live in Israel, and the Arab share of its population has increased rather than disappeared. Genocidal regimes do not cause the population they supposedly seek to eliminate to grow dramatically in both number and proportion. As Hanson explained, many of those accusing Israel are projecting the sins of their own nations, movements, and histories onto one tiny, democratic Jewish state. Why is Israel judged by a standard applied to no other nation? The answer is becoming painfully clear - because Israel is predominantly Jewish. Accusations may travel quickly, but historical facts still matter.

During my address this week at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., I shared that living together in peace requires goodwill among those who differ. Knowing that we are all children of God gives us a divine vision of the worth of all others. I pray to our Heavenly Father for His blessings upon us that we will all seek to be peacemakers.
