Proud to have been a small part of this fundamental immunology project! 🥳🧑🔬 Huge implications for immunotherapy! Big props to my supervisor @IanParish_AU for crafting and leading this curiosity-driven research to success. 🫡
Check out our paper (and Ian's explainer) below! 👇
We’ve known about tolerant CD8+ T cells for >25 yrs – but what are these cells?! Prematurely exhausted, stalled effectors, or something else?
Our latest @ImmunityCP paper takes a deep dive into this question with some unexpected results, including a link to cancer… (1/)
Who knew immunology and hefeweizen work so well together? 🍻👨🔬
Presented a short talk and poster at ImmunOctoberfest 2024 🙌, + got to hear groundbreaking research from the worlds top immunologists, all against a backdrop of art in a centuries-old German monastery!
Last week was such a memorable experience, especially for an early career researcher like me. Thank you and congratulations to the organizers,@ImmunOctober, for holding a successful and unique immunology conference!
Definitely an amazing 2 days of immunology! Always exciting to chat with and learn from colleagues and experts in the field. 🧑🔬🙌 Thank you to @ImmunoGroupVic for organising this awesome meeting and giving us the chance to share some of our work.

The productivity of elite scientists is largely explained by #collaboration with graduate students and postdocs at more prestigious institutions rather than inherent differences in talent (according to a study of 78,802 tenure-track faculty at 262 schools) science.org/doi/full/10.1126…
Had an absolute blast hearing all about the fantastic immunology at #ASI2023NZ, earlier this month. Also shared findings from my PhD and got a poster prize! 😁👨🔬
Huge thanks to @ASImmunology for this awesome conference and granting me a travel bursary to support my trip!
We also participated in different technical workshops, a 3MT competition and a poster session. Not to mention all the fun memories we made with new friends (and/or future collaborators!!) In Canberra!
I carry with me a renewed sense of scientific enthusiasm and curiosity as I step into the third year of my PhD. 🫡👨🔬
Thank you so much to the organisers (@EMBLAustralia) for making this course a huge success! #EMBLAPhD

Dogs are humanity's best friend—but how long has it been that way? 🐕

It was such an honor and definitely an enriching experience to co-chair the organising committee for this year's International Research Forum on the Philippines (IRFP) with the theme: "Transcending Boundaries: The Filipino Diaspora in Action" (1/3)
An initiative by @fastcovic and @PAFLatrobe, the IRFP gathered graduate students, community leaders, and scholars to exchange ideas on the lived experiences and global contributions of the Filipino Diaspora. I also got the chance to moderate the keynote sessions and one plenary!
