His 19-year-old daughter Anya was killed in a 2021 crash. The driver was a 39-year-old felon racing nearly 100 miles per hour while intoxicated. He never had a California license. He was an illegal alien already deported in 2016 and again in 2021. He should never have been in this country.
They found that out in a sanctuary city after years of silence. Nobody from the state reached out. Letters. Petitions. Thirteen Sacramento lawmakers. Nothing.
Democrats on Capitol Hill said families like his are being "exploited." His answer cut through the fog. Legal immigrants like his family are not the same as the man who killed their American-born daughter. Confusing the two is a word game that keeps more Anya stories coming.
Open borders under Biden and Harris failed them. California politicians failed them. Sanctuary protected the wrong person.
