Just this morning.
Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian in new interview on Delta not adopting @Starlink: "We know what we’re doing in the space, and we’ve been the pioneer in Wi-Fi. We set that standard launching free, fast Wi-Fi that forced the industry to adopt it. We’re happy with where we sit." He said he wasn't worried about being at a competitive disadvantage by not having Starlink. Delta said it will adopt Amazon's LEO satellite internet, but won't start installations until 2028. Has anyone had luck stopping these calls? I get 5-10 a day for “business funding”.

After 8 years I decided to hang up my purple Twitch hoodie. I'm working on something I've wanted for a long time: a stream processing engine for small eng teams. I'm looking for people who want to analyze data streams but aren't deep in the Java data ecosystem. Know anyone?

I know I'm late to the party but Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView are pretty great.

TIL If you use console/shell inside a docker container/devcontainer and ctrl-p acts silly, it's because the key sequence to detach from a running container is `ctrl-p,ctrl-q`. If you use those keys for readline nav, you can set `"detachKeys": "ctrl-e,e" in ~/docker/config.json

tech is great but worth noting that Costco is doing $240b in annual sales and uses this for inventory management

I spent a month building a wrapper around HN in 2020 for fun. I got rejected twice. Once because it didn’t include unique content and again because it included copyrighted content (in app browser). I linked the ten other wrappers in the App Store and gave up.
HEY Calendar app for iOS was just resubmitted for approval by @AppStore. Team worked through the weekend to address the bullshit, not-documented-anywhere, not-enforced-with-any-consistency claim that the app "does something", if you don't have an account. xitter.cf/dhh/status/17433419296…

These are all the pixels I need. lpar2rrd.com/pics/IBMi/IBMi-…
Go back in time and tell programmers from the 1990s that screens in the future have 15 times as many pixels, but we can only fit half as much information on the screen because design standards favor low information density. (I do it too. Otherwise your app "looks old".)
